I first “found” Nakd Bars in 2014 after seeing them on Kaila‘s blog (post). I ordered some and wrote to them and we’ve been pals ever since. They’ve been featured here a number of times. Whenever they have something new, they send it over for me to check out. I’m lucky that way!
Natural Balance Foods is a young British company. They’re “devoted to increasing world happiness with yummy healthy snacks, humor and helpfulness.” They’ve been making healthy whole food alternatives to processed foods in 2006.
Nakd Bars contain 100% natural ingredients with no added sugars, syrups or “other stuff that shouldn’t be there.” The bars are wheat, dairy and gluten free and are a perfect size for a travel snack or pre-workout. They also have one serving of fruit which is nice. You can easily read the ingredients – but some are the British version. 😉
There are two kinds of Nakd bars raw fruit and nut bars and crunch (protein) bars. The fruit and nut flavors are Rhubarb & Custard, Caffe Mocha, Cocoa Orange, Cashew Cookie, Pecan Pie, Berry Delight, Cocoa Mint, Ginger Bread and Cocoa Delight. The crunch bars come in Apple Crunch, Strawberry Crunch, Banana Crunch and Cocoa Crunch. My faves are Cocoa Orange, Ginger Bread and Pecan Pie. My favorite thing about these bars is that they are fresh and the tastes are very natural.
Nakd sent me some of their limited edition fruit and nut bars. They are Blueberry Muffin, Carrot Cake and Lemon Drizzle. I tried Blueberry Muffin first and it was awesome. I also really liked the Lemon Drizzle and Carrot Cake. One of my toddler testers was not a fan of Carrot Cake. I think it’s because it’s not too sweet – there is a nice cinnamon and spice flavor. That was a plus for me.
