Welcome to the third Ultimate Coffee Date link up of 2018. Another year is off to a quick start. I‘m linking up with Coco @ Running with Perseverance and Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner. What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup, “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that The Husband and I have started our leap frog of travels and not being in the same place at the same time. Absence makes the heart grow fonder – right? By the end of March our hearts will be very fond. One or both us will be away more than half the month. We’re traveling mostly for fun, and a little for work, so we really can’t complain. [I’d also admit that this paragraph is taken verbatim from last March and it’s true again!]
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’m super excited to be heading to Expo West again this year. I can’t wait to try all of the foods/drinks and to meet many people. They’re expecting over 3,000 Natural Foods vendors. I’m also excited because Becca will be coming and bunking with me, too! Here is the exhibitor list. What should I check out first? [If you’re interested, here are my posts from 2016 (day 1 and recap) and 2017 (day 1 and day 2).]
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’m headed to NYC to run the new NYC 1/2 course with Alexandra’s Playground. This is the seventh year in a row that I’ve run for this great cause. I’m a bit nervous about the new course. It used to start with a loop of Central Park and then head to South Street Seaport. You got the hills out of the way by mile 6. Now it’s starting in Brooklyn, heading over the Manhattan Bridge to end in Central Park. My friend offered to share the elevation chart with me. I live in the flat lands of Chicago… I’m better off not to know. [Learn more about Alexandra’s Playground here and you can sponsor me here. Raffle coming soon!]
If we were having coffee… I’d ask if you’d seen The Night Of on HBO. It’s an 8 part mini series about a student who has a wild night and ends up in jail for murder. It was so good and the themes will definitely be on my mind. I would ask if you’ve seen anything good, because we are waiting for the new seasons to start and need something to watch.
What’s happening by you? Please share your coffee talk in the comments!
