You may remember my rave review of Redd Bar after Expo East last year. I was all energy barred out and they knocked my socks of with plant based, oatmeal superfood bars are high in protein, gluten free and non-GMO. They contain 11 superfoods and 23 vitamins. They include high quality ingredients that are best for performance. Redd Bars contain 36mg of natural caffeine. They’re also ethically sourced. So it was all good. So good in fact, I became an ambassador.
I visited with Alden and the Redd Bar team again this year at Expo East [Day 2 recap]. I chatted with them and sent lots of folks their way. They were debuting a new flavor, Salted Caramel. That was not my guess in their contest for new flavors this summer, but I was pretty psyched nonetheless. I also loved the marketing on the booth – “What you put into your body isn’t the problem, it’s the solution.”
Redd Bars now come in 5 flavors. They are Chocolate, Oatmeal, Peanut Butter, Mint Chocolate and (new) Salted Caramel. The bars are dense but chewy. They’re moist, taste delicious and are not too sweet. The Chocolate is rich, but not too sweet to eat pre-run or for breakfast. In fact, I had one before the NY Marathon last November. Given the late race start time, I had a Peanut Butter one, too. These bars kept me full through the race – even 26 miles later. I am definitely a fan of Redd Bar. Since then, I’ve had these on hand for many runs and trips.
You don’t have to take my word for it. Redd Bar gave me a Peanut Butter six pack and I bought some more Salted Caramel to share. I will send one lucky winners a mixed 6 pack of Redd Bars and a Redd knit hat for winter. Please use the Rafflecopter below to enter. Winners must be US residents, 18 years of age or older and the offer is void where prohibited. The giveaway runs through Friday, October 13. Winners will be selected and notified by Saturday, October 14.
In the mean time, you can find Redd Bars on the web and on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Subscribe to Redd Bars’ newsletter for 20% off your first order.
