As a runner, I love a good yoga class. Yoga’s a great way to slow down, to stretch out and to stay grounded. Like running, yoga is great solo or with friends. CorePower Yoga Chicago invited me to check out their “Bachelorette Bash.” They teamed up with The Knot to throw Chicago brides-to-be and their friends a wellness-inspired celebration. It included a 60 minute power flow yoga class plus cake tasting and refreshments from True Food Kitchen.
This was perfect timing, because Finds’ food tester extraordinaire, Amanda, is getting married this month. We grabbed Allison and Megan and went to check out the class. It was taught by two local instructors, Elizabeth and Jeni. They did a great job of tying in upcoming weddings to yoga practice in the intention setting. As those of us who are married know, it’s all about practice. We loved the class and the beautiful setting at Galleria Marchetti. Post class, we tasted some goodies, took a photo and chatted with other folks.
Jeni mentioned to us that there are a ton of awesome free classes led by CPY this summer. Did you say free? Sign us up! I checked out their Summer Event Guide. This lists events in all of their cities – 24 of them! In Chicago, they have free classes weekly at the Chicago History Museum Plaza plus other inexpensive events. Here’s a link to the schedule.
CPY wants you to check out their classes! They’ve offered one lucky Chicagoland reader a free month of yoga!
