Welcome to the 4th Ultimate Coffee Date link up of 2017. Another year is off to a quick start. I‘m linking up with Coco @ Running with Perseverance and Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner. What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup , “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that The Husband and I made it through our crazy February and March in separate places for the majority of the time. When he came back from skiing, he was rather jovial. I have a bunch of work/friend travel coming up in April and May, too. Luckily for us, absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder.
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’m getting up to speed at my new job. It’s always tough to be the new kid on the block, but I love the mission of my new company. The people are very nice, too. Everyone has been super welcoming and helpful. I wish I was in the office more because there’s always healthy food in the works!
If we were having coffee… I’d ask if you’ve downloaded the new podcast S-Town from the makers of Serial and This American Life. The cool thing about this show is that they posted all seven episodes so you can binge listen. I listened to the first four yesterday (on a plane and on a short run). It’s really good and not exactly what you first expect. It’s the story of an eccentric man in a rural southern town who contacts reporter Brian Reed about a crime and then unfolds into a totally different story. Check it out and let me know what you think!
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you about some fun trips that I have coming up and ask what you have on tap for this spring and fall. I’m joining Jen for her first post 2nd baby half marathon in Milwaukee and heading to the Grand Canyon to run and hike with Lauren and crew. Next month, I have a girl’s trip, then we’re headed to Philly for The Husband’s 15 year b-school reunion – which seems VERY hard to believe. I may go to Brooklyn for the half marathon, too. Plus, I have two trips to NJ in April for work. One of them will allow a high school girlfriend dinner date. Yay!
If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that there are some great things coming on the blog from Expo West including a Hydro Flask tumbler giveaway. There are also some awesome food reviews and giveaways coming up including Soul Sprout’s new Almond Butter Bites, RayZyn, Sustainable Indulgence Cookies, Crave Crush, Chapul and much, more more!
