If you’ve been around here much, you know I’m nuts about nut butter. When Bliss Nut Butters started following me on Instagram, I checked them right out. The all natural, locally made nut butter flavors looked amazing, but they were not available near me. I messaged them to see if they’d send me some samples for a review. They sent me EIGHT JARS – four for review and four to giveaway. It was our lucky day! Well, it was my lucky day and one lucky reader’s lucky day.
I initially thought that Bliss Nut Butters were named for the happiness and euphoria you get from eating them. It turns out that the founder’s name is Daniell Bliss. It’s a two-fer, because these flavors do make me pretty blissful!
Bliss makes fresh ground, all-natural nut butters with a crunchy texture and awesome taste. The fresh ground process makes them a crunchy style and keeps in the nutrition. They’re sweetened with local honey from the Pacific Northwest and then seasoned with a hint of sea salt. Bliss Nut Butters are dairy free, gluten free and GMO-free. They contain no preservatives or additives. The nut butters and packaged in reusable glass jars. Bliss Nut Butters are also made with 100% wind energy. Pretty cool, huh?
Bliss Nut Butters come in six seven varieties. They are Peanut Butter, Chia Seed Peanut Butter, Cinnamon Chia Seed Peanut Butter, Cashew Butter, Hazelnut Butter, Hazelnut Butter with Oregon Dried Cranberries and Sunflower Seed Butter. Daniell sent me the four above for me (and for one of you to win.)
I dug into the Cashew Butter right away with a spoon. The label says “tastes like cookie dough” and it does! It is super moist yet crunchy with a sweetness from the honey and a pinch of salt. This delicious, nutritional powerhouse has only four ingredients: cashews, sunflower oil, honey and sea salt. I love this stuff. It’s also filling so I was not tempted to take down the whole jar.
Next, I tried the Hazelnut Butter with Dried Cranberries. I am not usually a dried cranberry fan, but I love this combo. This hazelnut butter is the perfect combination of salty and sweet. I’m not embarrassed to say that I ate this one with a spoon, too! There are some yummy looking recipes on Bliss’ website using this Hazelnut Butter. I will definitely try some of the fall recipes this season.
The Husband and I tried the Cinnamon Chia Seed Peanut Butter with apple slices. I love the crunchy texture and added Saigon Cinnamon kick. The Husband thought this might be too healthy for him. He tried it and initially said “it’s not as bad as it sounded.” Upon further consideration, he admitted “Yeah, it’s really good.” He’s no health nut, so this is high praise. I love simple ingredients, the texture and the added nutrition from the chia.
I am not a big Sunflower Butter fan, so my jar is up for grabs. Local friends, call dibs! I’m sure you’ll love the salty and sweet, fresh taste.
I’m a huge fan of these fresh ground nut butters! As I mentioned, Daniell sent me four jars to try and four jars to share. Want to enter to win all four varieties I received? Please enter using the Rafflecopter below. Winner must have a US postal address, be 18 years of age or older and the offer is void where prohibited. The giveaway runs through October 6th.
