Some days, it occurs to me that I’m not getting any younger. I’ve been extremely excited to have very few running related aches and pains lately. [Knock wood.] But not so fast, I did a pretty challenging yoga class and now I am achy and sore in funny spots. Luckily, the nice folks from Zim’s offered me a new product from their Max line to try. Zim’s Max Arnica is a homeopathic medicine that rolls on and helps to relieve aches, bruising and pain from sprains.
Zim’s started over 60 years ago with the creation of Zim’s Crack Creme by a pharmacist in Austintown, Ohio. Today, the Zim’s brand makes over 25 products including lotions, creams, pain relief gels and diabetic relief products. The Zim’s Max-Freeze brand offers topical pain relief gel made with natural ingredients such as Ilex Flower and Aloe Vera. Zim’s products are never tested on animals and have a long shelf life.
Zim’s Max-Arnica is all natural. It’s the first homeopathic product in the Zim’s line. This means all of the ingredients are produced from natural sources like plants, vegetables and minerals. The formula combines Arnica Montana, a flowering plant used for pain relief, with aloe and menthol for soothing relief. With the roll-on, you just roll the Zim’s Max-Arnica on the affected area and lightly massage it in. The roll-on is neat and easy.
I tried the Max-Arnica roll-on on my sore side. I put the roll-on on my right side and left the left side as is for a control group. I rolled on the sore muscle and then lightly massaged the medicine in. It was not greasy and dried quickly. It has a nice menthol smell. After about 30 seconds, I noticed that the muscles felt warm and then started to relax. I’m interested to try this on a bruise or strain the next time I get one. [Hopefully, not too soon!] I am interested to try the Max Freeze line, too, to see if there is a difference between the homeopathic and original formula.
