You may remember a while ago, I reviewed Thunderbird Energetica and former sister company Epic Bars. Since then, Thunderbird and Epic have split, Thunderbird Energetica has rebranded to Thunderbird Real Food Bars and reformulated the bars for better taste. Lots of changes, but some things remains the same – the bars are good for you, packed with nutrition and taste great!
Thunderbird Bars were created by endurance athletes who wanted “real food for pure energy.” They use 100% all-natural, simple and certified ingredients. The bars are Paleo Certified, vegan, free of grain, soy and dairy and they contain no added sugar. Thunderbird bars provide consumers with “conveniently packaged, nutrient dense, plant-based goodness.” Each bar contains only natural, easy to read ingredients. Basically, they are made of just fruits, nuts, seeds and spices. Voila!
There are nine flavors – six made with fruits and nuts and three made with nuts and seeds. The fruit and nut bars have no added sugar, but are all sweeter due to the dried fruit. The bars with hemp or buckwheat are nutty and crunchy. In the original review, my faves were Cherry Walnut Crunch and Cashew Fig Carrot. I am still a fan of these, but am adding Hazelnut Coffee Maca and Cacao Hemp Walnut to the faves list. The Cacao Hemp Walnut has a bit of mint and is surprisingly chocolatey for cacao! YUM!
I took a few of these bars to the movies and shared them with my friends. The winner of the group was Pecan Goji Pistachio followed by Lemon Cashew Apricot. We all love the fact that these bars are 100% real food. They are all fairly low calorie and are nutrient dense. A win-win! Basically, you can pick the bar that has your favorite ingredient/flavor and the bar will be for you.
You don’t have to take my word for it! The folks at Thunderbird will send one lucky reader a sampler pack of all nine bars like I received. Please use the Rafflecopter below to enter. The giveaway runs through May 26th. A winner will be selected and notified on May 27th. The winner must be a US resident, 18 years of age or older and the offer is void where prohibited.
In the meantime, you can check out Thunderbird Real Food Bars on the web. As a bonus, all bars are 20% off for the month of May, too. They offer a sampler pack of 15 so you can try all nine flavors. You can also follow on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Please note: I received these bars at no cost in exchange for an honest review. I was not otherwise compensated for this post and all opinions are my own.
