Recently, my running buddy Nicole started working with ALOHA and suggested that I check them out. I had seen the brand in Well+Good and on other health and wellness sites. They have beautiful marketing and a variety of terrific all natural products to supplement a healthy lifestyle. They sent me a sampler of teas, protein bars, greens powder and protein powder to try and they offered me a sampler to send to one lucky reader… so read on!
In the Hawaiian language, aloha means “sharing the breath of life.” ALOHA “aim(s) to do this by making health simple, fun, and accessible.” They want to help us maintain a healthy lifestyle with great products. They believe that “the best nutrients come from whole foods, but even the most health conscious among us aren’t able to get everything our body needs from food alone.” ALOHA provides the nutritional support you need to help maintain “your already healthy lifestyle.”
ALOHA makes teas, protein powders, protein bars, greens, trail mix, snack, coconut water powder and vitamins. All of the products are USDA Organic, vegan, Non-GMO, soy free and gluten free. They combine scientific research with “ancient traditional wisdom” to develop great products.
ALOHA sent me a sampler of teas, Daily Good Greens, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Protein Bars, Dark Chocolate Coconut Snack Bars and Vanilla Protein Powder.
I love the teas! They contain tea, ancient herbs and spices, fruit and florals. The teas I tried were “Beauty, Clean, Lovers and Protect.” They are light and delicious and they even come in compostable, plant based plastic. A win-win! My favorite is Lovers with pomegranate seeds, rose petal, cinnamon and hibiscus. It is sweet and a bit spicy and caffeine free. It is the perfect late afternoon, winter drink.
The protein bars and protein powder are vegan, gluten, dairy and soy free and non-GMO. They are 100% free of harsh chemicals, fillers, artificial sweeteners, and “natural” flavors. The bars and protein servings have 18g of protein each. The protein bars are delicious and the protein powder blends really well in smoothies. The protein bars have high fiber and pea protein and only “ingredients you can pronounce.” These bars are a perfect addition to my travel bag!
The Daily Good Greens are an easy and simple way to get a full serving of fruits and vegetables in a convenient on-the-go pouch. I added them into smoothies and plan to add them to my travel bag to get extra servings of greens when there are no fresh ones available. You can even mix with water or tea. It is an another awesome addition to my travel arsenal.
ALOHA also has a variety of dark chocolate, trail mix and Dark Chocolate Coconut bars. The bars are 100% natural, gluten and soy free and are lower in sugar than many bars (7 g). They are sweet and salty with a protein punch from quinoa, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds. These were a bit sweet for me. I know that sounds crazy for me, but it’s true. These are a great option to satisfy a sweet tooth with a healthy, nutritious snack.
