I love trying out new running gear and using my iPhone to listen to podcasts on the run. When I was offered the opportunity to try the IRUN Pro Running Belt through my relationship with Tomoson, I was excited. I love my HB Tune but had a near disaster recently when I fell and landed smack dab on my phone. Luckily it did not shatter. Given the ice in Chicago during the winter, I welcomed a new belt with a touchscreen feature to try. I also have the habit of misplacing my Spibelts and Nathan belt so this is a great one to add to my collection.
This running belt has a touch-screen friendly cut out so that you can use your phone while keeping it protected from the elements. The belt is water resistant, adjustable (28 – 50 inches), is snug and “no-bounce.” It fits iPhones including the 6 (perfect fit for mine) and has a clever headphone jack opening.
Features:
- Water and Sweat Resistant
- No Bounce – The stretchy, secure Lycra material ensures a snug fit .
- Touch-screen Cover – Clear PVC window lets you have full access to phone, run-stats and music on the Run. Headphone access point to thread your headphones.
- Adjustable – Fully adjustable strap and clip buckle to keep secure.
- Secure and Functional – Hidden zip and dividing pockets inside keep your items secure and prevents scratching.
I took the belt out for a spin. Well, it was a 5 mile run. I was able to text in the elevator to let my friend know I was coming down. The belt was snug and secure and comfortable to wear. I liked the separate phone pouch and was not worried about the phone falling out when I grabbed something from the zip pocket. The pouch is quite large – big enough for fuel for long runs, car keys with a fob (that can be an issue at races if you don’t want to use the bag check for that!) and whatever else you want to carry.
I took a chance and wore the belt in a half marathon yesterday. The snug fit was great and after some quick adjustments once I started, it was perfect. I carried my phone, credit card and money in inside pocket and my GU in the outside pocket. I could have fit a lot more! It was hot and I was very sweaty but the waterproof pouch kept everything dry and safe. Best of all – no chafing! I was also able to use the phone easily pre and post race. The only downside is that you have to take the phone out for pictures. All in all, I loved this belt and will definitely be using it a lot on runs where I bring my phone.
