Everyone who comes around here knows that I love running AND I love a good deal. When Dave from Janji asked me to check out his friend Imran’s new site to find the best prices on running shoes, I said “sign me up.” ShoeKicker is a new website that will revolutionize how you buy your running shoes. Propelled by a problem that I can relate to, Imran searched high and low when his favorite shoes were discontinued. He wanted a search tool that was easy, simple and fast and gave him the exact shoe in the size he wanted. He couldn’t find it so he worked with a team to create ShoeKicker.
ShoeKicker is an elegant and sleek web based tool. It offers a smart search for your shoe model.
You type in your shoe name, pick your size and gender and then click “show me the best price.” When I was doing the beta testing, I got a pair of (version 1) Hoka Cliftons from City Sports for $90. They retail for $130. I clicked through on ShoeKicker so they get credit and added them to my cart. I checked ebates and there was a code for 20% off on sale items. These codes can be used with or without ebates. I clicked through to get 1.5% cash back and added the code for a total price of $72 and then I got $1.08 back from ebates, too. Every penny counts right!?
My friend A was looking for a pair of Nike Flyknit Lunars for her husband B. So I used this to test ShoeKicker for this post.
I found B’s Nike Flyknit Lunar 2s for $90 on City Sports with free shipping. I did some internet sleuthing to find coupon codes and found that City Sports still has an additional 20% off on sale items with the code RUN20. Voila $72 and over 50% off the retail! The best price on the other sites was over $112. Whoo hoo!
ShoeKicker also lets you:
- Create pricing alerts
- Look for other models
- Share links of your searches
- Create templates for your team or running friends to share your deals regularly.
