I was invited to three awesome launches for healthy eats in Chicago recently: Eat Purely, JuiceRx and Snap Kitchen (an Austin fave now in Chicago!).
Eat Purely is a healthy delivery service for foodies. They have an app (with beautiful Instagram-worthy menu pics) that allows you to order gourmet, healthy meals and have them delivered within 20 minutes. They are currently soft launching with $1 delivery from Grub Hub. They will have their own delivery service soon. Eat Purely has about a dozen menu items at a time and will continually update the menu with the seasons and trends. They deliver the meals cold with simple heating instructions for the oven or microwave for freshness. Sapna, Erica and I checked out their launch party at DL Loft and tried a number of dishes. They were restaurant worthy. I especially loved the cauliflower steak and the kale salad. Don’t worry they have meat dishes, too! Eat Purely launched in Chicago in June. You can sign up to get a free meal on them HERE. You can also follow them on Twitter and Facebook.
JuiceRx recently opened it’s first retail space in Old Town after offering juice cleanse via delivery for several years. At the store, they are offering their JuiceRx juices, smoothies, elixers, and cleanses—plus a new assortment of raw foods, supplements and more. We got to sample a variety of juices, snacks and amazing raw foods and to take home an awesome goody bag, too. Founder Dean Kasal shared his story and his goals for JuiceRx, too! It is great stuff. You can learn more HERE. The difference for me with the JuiceRx juices is that you actually want to drink them – they are delicious. I loved the raw foods, as well! Get $10 off your first online order of $100 or more with this link, too! You can also follow them on Twitter and Facebook. Until July 13th, get up to 50% off online or in-store from Gilt City. (Not a Gilt City member – get $25 off your first purchase with this link plus don’t miss cash back from ebates, too!)
Snap Kitchen is now in Chicago! Since 2010, Snap Kitchen has been making “consciously crafted food that is both delicious and nutritious.” They make healthy, chef-driven creations with the highest quality ingredients available and provide nutrition education for their customers, too. The menu offers a wide selection of meals, snacks and cold-pressed juices that are made fresh daily, portion controlled and nutritionally balanced. They focus on sustainable practices, local sourcing and transparency of ingredients. Snap Kitchen started in Texas and now has 4 locations in the Chicagoland area. I met Claire, one of their staff RDs. She gave me a tour and made recommendations based on my food preferences. All of the items have clear ingredient and allergen labels. I got to sample a number of dishes including an amazing banana protein pancake, a bison quinoa bowl, eggs with chili and butternut squash soup. Most items come in small, medium and large for portion control. Snap Kitchen is a great option for folks on the go! You can follow them on Twitter and Facebook.
