I can’t believe it has already been a month since the last Ultimate Coffee Date link up! Another year is flying by. I‘m linking up again with Coco @ Running with Perseverance, Lynda @ Fitness Mom Wine Country, & Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner for the seventh “Ultimate Coffee Date” of 2015. What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. If we were having coffee… I would tell you how excited I am to be in NJ for my brother’s 4th party/low key birthday celebration for a very BIG birthday. He spent the past 8 months getting in kick ass shape and looks healthier and younger than ever!
If you come around here, you know that we love my brother’s farm. It is my happy place. Oh, and my brother is an amazing caterer and host, so the food and party were amazing, as always!
If we were having coffee… I would tell you that we also hit the jackpot, because The Husband’s sister and her family were visiting her mother in law in Pennsylvania only 50 miles from where my brother lives. We got to visit with them, too. Our niece is 18 months old and is on the move and our nephew is 9. He was so excited that we drove down in my brother’s Tesla. All of the guys were super geeked out about the car and really enjoyed checking it out. The Husband enjoyed testing the car’s handling and keeping me on my toes, too. It was SO great to see everyone as they live in California and we do not get to see them often enough.
If we were having coffee… I would tell you that I was sad that some of our friends in the area were out of town, but very excited that we were able to see some great, old friends while we were here, too. Liz and I have been friends for almost 40 years. We took swim lessons at the YMCA together before we were even in Kindergarten. Crazy – right?!
If we were having coffee… I would tell you that I have never been to Taste of Chicago, but have been offered some tickets to try out Humana’s “Healthier Choice Options.” The Taste runs July 8th – 12th and has some great music and TONS of Chicago food. This year’s program features 48 healthy food options from 24 Chicago restaurants that meet nutritional criteria. The Humana Healthier Choices will be identified by a green apple on the menu boards at participating restaurant booths. The Humana Healthier Choices list will be handed out at the Humana tent and can be downloaded at the Taste of Chicago website and via Facebook. If you get 6 stamps from trying healthier choices and bring your card back to the Humana tent, you will be entered to win some great prizes!

If we were having coffee together… I would tell you that I am excited to have less travel in July than June. I need to get organized at home and plan for some August and September fun and work travels.
