Sometimes things are so clever that I wonder “why didn’t I think of that?” That is how I feel about dailyServing. I saw dailyServing on Susie’s Instagram and immediately begged her to introduce me. (Susie is awesome so she didn’t actually make me beg, but… you know what I mean!)
dailyServing was created by Registered Dietitians who “understand the challenges of eating healthy in everyday life.” They say, “Designed to address real life challenges, each snack has an important purpose beyond tasting delicious.” Each juice and snack combo has a specific nutritional purpose. The snacks contain “functional foods” or those that have proven nutritional benefits. They also taste amazing! All combos are all natural, vegan, gluten free and weigh in at under 300 calories. They take the guess work out of healthy snacking. They also come in adorable, reusable jars. Not sure what I will do with these suckers, though! (First world problem!)
I had the opportunity to meet up with Austin and dietician Katie Goldberg for lunch and to chat about dailyServing. They brought samples! Yay! They told me about the dS approach and availability. Sorry friends outside of Chicago, right now they are only available here in the Chicagoland in some gyms and specialty stores. The juices are perishable and must be refrigerated. Hopefully they will expand soon. Trust me – you wish they would!
I had the opportunity to try Ignite, Boost, Fuel and Recover. If you head over to their site, you can see the science. I will tell you a little about each.
- Ignite: Stay alert with the mix of dark chocolate, walnuts, almonds, apples, cinnamon and cayenne. The juice contains apple, cucumber and spinach for hydration. I loved this juice and mix – except I found it a bit dry and I kept coughing from the cayenne. Erin indicates that she had the same issue from eating it quickly – I am likely guilty of that, too! Love this combo.
- Fuel: Fuel your workout with raisins, cashews, apples and sage. The juice is beet and apple for energy and to help heal muscles (nitrates in beets). I am a fan of beets and all of the items in this mix, too!
- Boost: “Boost the burn” with almonds, coconut, strawberries and ginger. The juice is pineapple and red pepper with cayenne. This mix was the tastiest one for me and I love the juice with a kick. Boost is my fave combo of the ones that I have tried so far!
- Recover: I tried the pineapple and celery juice with tumeric. YUM. With all of the running I do, the tumeric for fighting inflammation and soothing sore muscles is a must!
As I mentioned, Daily Serving is currently in select locations in the greater Chicagoland area. You can keep up with them on Facebook and Twitter so you will know when they come to a gym or store near you! If you are local, you can enter to win a 6 pack on Facebook – final week! I also won 12 dS combos in a silent auction this weekend, so I will be sharing locally, too!

Please note: I have received samples from dailyServing at no cost in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
PS. Don’t forget my great giveaways happening now, too!
