You may remember Jessica’s Natural Foods from my raves about her amazing granola last fall. My running partner, Kristin, turned me on to her amazing gluten free granola last fall and I have been loving it ever since. I hooked Susie on it, too! As a reminder, Jessica’s is made is a gluten free facility using non-GMO ingredients. They also donate 5% of profits to these great charities. I introduced Jessica to the fine folks at Peanut Butter and Company so I am hoping for a delicious collaboration!
Jessica emailed me recently and asked me if I wanted to try her newest products. She said,
“I recently came out with two new products and thought you might like to try them. They are brand new and is just starting to roll out to stores. It’s an Organic Strawberry and Vanilla Syrup. It’s a healthier alternative to Nesquick and a healthier/cheaper/more environmentally friendly alternative to organic flavored milk tetra cartons. We use organic strawberry puree and organic Madagscar vanilla extract. To my knowledge, there’s nothing organic like this on the market (besides chocolate syrup).  The strawberry is also delicious on pancakes and the vanilla is great in coffee. Both flavors are also great on oatmeal, smoothies, yogurt, ice cream, etc. My friend even made a yummy and healthier ‘cherry cream soda’ with the vanilla syrup.”
The syrups come in Strawberry and Vanilla flavor and Jessica sent me one of each. Their philosophy is that “everything tastes better with real ingredients.” The syrups are all organic, contain real ingredients and have no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. I gave them to two friends with kids to try. Eric’s girls loved the strawberry shakes that they made. They also tried strawberry milk but it was not their favorite. Eric says, “to be fair, they didn’t think strawberry milk was a thing – no Quik in our house.” They are also planning to try the syrup with pancakes and yogurt. Pam took the vanilla and was chagrined to find that her girl Reese only wanted chocolate syrup on her ice cream and in her milk! Susie made some delicious Zucchini Bread with her vanilla and she said I could share the recipe, too! Here it is. Jessica also suggests that the syrup is great in coffee so I may grab this one back from Pam after all.
