OK, there are several reasons I love beauty products with Argan Oil and only one of them is irrational. I will start with the silly one and then head to the real deal and the review. When I first started seeing Argan Oil, I thought it was Agran (our last name) and I felt an affinity toward it. Thank goodness, it also smells good and leaves my hair and skin feeling silky and soft. It is also an all natural product which is another reason to love it.
Through my relationship with Brandbacker, I had the opportunity to test Pura D'Or Premium Organic shampoo and conditioner made with Argan Oil. They sent me a Premium Organic Shampoo with Hair Loss Prevention (can't hurt!) and a Premium Organic Conditioner with Lavender and Vanilla.
- The shampoo is all natural and is fortified with "an organic blend of argan oil, B vitamin complex, biotin, nettles extract, saw palmetto, He Shou Wu (Fo-ti) and other clinically proven natural ingredients to aid against hair loss." I am not worried about hair loss but I like that this strengthens and "heals" hair and is safe for daily use for men and women. It makes a nice lather and has a pleasant smell, too.
- The conditioner is 99% vegetable based and contains coconut and vegetable proteins to "help hydrate, heal and repair damaged hair from root to end without adding weight or buildup." It is infused with organic argan oil to "add shine, body and moisturizers to all types of hair." It smells like coconut and vanilla and leaves my hair soft and shiny. It says "no frizz" and I agree! I only use a tiny but so it will last a long time!
- The bonus Argan Oil is 100% cold pressed and USDA organic. This magical elixir can be used all over the body and is "safe for all hair, nail and skin types." It is said to diminish wrinkles so I have been using it under my eyes and I am a fan. I also tried it on my chapped lips. They did feel softer, but I think I am better served to use it on my wrinkles! I put some under my eyes for my 4:30 AM departure this morning and I look better already.
