Techlicious had a great post this week with six apps to improve your productivity (and five are free). I am going to highlight a few that I think seem awesome. Click HERE for the full scoop.
They say, “with a few downloads, you can possess the apps that will make you more productive by saving minutes and hours you would otherwise waste away.” I say if my phone can help me to be more productive, it may help to counteract all of the time that my phone causes me to be unproductive. Another win-win – right?
Fetch – Fetch is your new “personal buying assistant.” You tell the app what you want to buy by uploading a picture, texting or speaking to it. Then actual people research the best prices and applicable coupon codes and send you over some options. You review, select and then click “Buy Now” and they place the order for you using the billing and shopping info from your account. And, if you find it cheaper within one week, they will credit you the difference. They also book travel – wow!
That may be TOO easy! I have to check this out. I wish I invented it! I was not able to see on the web if there is a fee or if they get paid by the retailers. (Free at iTunes.)
Cabin – Cabin is a quick, easy way to communicate and plan with groups. You can send messages, share photos, get reminders and even assign tasks to people. You can chat with everyone in one convenient feed or create private chats within your group. There’s also location tracking to see where people are if you’re expecting them.
This seems like it would be great for families or for herding cats friends on group outings! It would take some of the nagging out of planning. The husband would like that. Free at iTunes and Google Play
FastCustomer – Hate the long wait for customer service lines to pick up? You’ll like this app. You enter the company and the department you’d like to talk to. When an agent is available, your phone will ring when an agent is able to talk to you over the line.
I have to try this! I wrote it up a while ago and have not used it. I recently waited 30 minutes for customer service and then missed the agent when they came on. Oops. Free at iTunes and Google Play
