I am always on the lookout for healthy, nutritious snacks. I also like them to taste good. Last year, I received a bunch of sample packs of Snapea Crisps Harvest Snacks in various subscription boxes. These snacks have the consistency of a cheese doodles type of snack, but they are made with peas and lentils. They are gluten free and better for you than those old school snacks.
Harvest Snaps “start with the clean flavors and essential nutrients Mother Nature intended.” Snapea Crisps are made with 70% all-natural peas while Lentil Snaps come packed with 65% lentils and their powerful combination of nutrients. They contain Vitamin B, calcium, iron, folate, potassium and dietary fiber. These snacks have protein and fiber to help you feel satisfied. They are gluten free and made with non-GMO ingredients, too!
Since I’m in the Harvest Snaps “Snap Pack,” I received a 6 pack of all of the flavors to try and an opportunity to give a set of 6 away, too! I have tried the Lightly Salted, Caesar and Black Pepper Snapea Crisps flavors and enjoy them all. Even the husband likes them – please don’t tell him that they are a healthier option. I was excited to try the Wasabi Ranch Snapea Crisps and the Tomato Basil and Onion Thyme Lentil Snaps.
I like eating these as a stand alone snack, but also got creative and used Snapea Crisps like croutons on my salad and in my Vietnamese broth soup in place of crispy noodles. For salads, I loved the Lightly Salted and Black Pepper and for soup, I loved the Wasabi Ranch and Black Pepper. The husband’s favorite is Caesar. We both enjoyed the Tomato Basil Lentil Snaps and I took the Onion Thyme to a ladies wine night. Everyone enjoyed them and especially liked the light crunch and thyme and onion flavoring plus they paired well with wine and cheese.
