Love to try new specialty fitness studios like me, but hate to break the bank or commit to one type of workout? Get psyched, Chicago friends! ClassPass made its Chicago debut this week. It is the fifth city to join NYC, Boston, San Francisco and Los Angeles. I was out of town but some Finds’ friends got to take part in the Class Pass Chicago launch fun at Exhale, Flywheel and Dailey Method!
With ClassPass you can take an unlimited number of fitness classes per month at the best boutique studios in Chicago. For $99 a month, members get unlimited classes to be used to visit any studio of their choice up to 3 times per month. Please note, if a studio has more than 1 location, members can go up to 3 times total across all venues and not 3 times per location.
There are tons of options like HIIT running/lifting at Shred415, spin at Flywheel, barre workouts at The Bar Method, yoga at Moksha Yoga Center and pilates at Pilates ProWorks and many, many more. There are over 70 locations and 1,000 classes to choose from! Variety is the spice of life.
Click here to get your ClassPass now! That’s the monthly rate no matter how many classes you take, no commitment required! You can cancel at any time.
Please note: the website still says 10 classes for $99/month, but they have moved to unlimited with 3 max per studio. Awesome!
Not in Chicago or can’t fit these classes into your schedule? Try one of my staples Hot5 Fitness. This free app offers high intensity, functional video workouts with personal trainers. Even the description is quick, “Fast effective workouts for people on-the-go.” This app offers a free series of five minute video workouts that you can combine in any way. Whether you have 5 minutes or much more, this app can help you get fit on the go!
There are a wide variety of exercises from beginner to expert, Yoga to Cardio, there’s a workout for everyone. You can do 5 minutes at the end of a jog to work your core, 25 minutes of yoga flow in your hotel room or 45 minutes of full body workouts. You get the picture.
It is easy to download a series of 5 minute videos for workouts. The key tells you if it is easy, medium or hard and what you need (mat, dumbbells, etc.) You then select your workout and the app displays each move, and sets the timer for five minutes. The audio tells you what to do and the video shows you. The timer keeps track of the exercise for you. The instructor even encourages you! (Wow – a minute is not short when you do ab exercises!)
This app is awesome and will be great for traveling or varying workouts at the gym! Thanks Today Show for this tip!
