Are you like some people who skip the news every day because it is all bad news, all the time? Have I got a find for you! Meet Arkleus. They say, “It’s All Good: Good stories. Good people. Good times. Every day on Arkleus.com” What does that mean? This website posts good news every day in four categories: Action, Tech, Creative and Life. They also show most popular and featured stories. Some stories have video and they all have great other suggestions for you to check out, as well. They also have a daily, short original video series called “It’s all good.”
I have to dig in but I found more that I had time to read – so much good news! Here is one I liked in Tech: Think Detroit is a Lost Cause? These Makers May Change Your Mind and one in Creative: Everyday Objects Making Extraordinary Music.
So what’s the point? They say, “Arkleus is a network for breaking good news to the world, a platform that connects the most connected generation in history with the stories that can change lives.”
Why are they doing this? By highlighting the stories that “inspire, empower, provoke and entertain,” they seek to help their audience change the world. The stories link to calls to action, community activation and social media engagement to promote positive change in addition to positive spirits.
You can follow on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and share your good stories, too!
What do you think? I plan to keep up with Arkleus and to share more good news!!
In case you missed it, check out theSkimm, an awesome, addictive daily newsletter that sums up the news with personality. The news is not all good, but any means but it is delivered with good humor and spunk.
They say, “theSkimm is an email newsletter for anyone short on time.” Their concept is simple. They read. We Skimm. They “cross party and subject lines to break down what it seems everyone else is talking about.”
I started getting theSkimm when I originally posted about it and I LOVE it! The writing is succinct and clever. I feel like my savvy friends are telling me the scoop. It is good to have friends in the know. Each day they have a “quote of the day”, tops stories, “repeat after me” (a recap of yesterday’s important stories) and “things to know.”
I recommend checking out theSkimm. You can sign up for daily emails HERE. [You can sign up for theSkimm and Refinery29 and enter to win a 4 day trip to Seattle HERE.]
