CharitySub is a cool new way to sup
port worthy causes. How? It’s as easy as 1-2-3.
1. You donate $5 per month.
2. Each month CharitySub selects and highlights 3 non-profits making a difference within a single cause. On the first of each month, you get an email detailing that month’s focus. [This month’s focus is STEM. Learn more on Facebook.] Then, you pick which of the three featured charities will receive your $5 donation that month.
3. CharitySub shares the impact of the subscriber base’s collective good each month.
They believe (and I agree) that, “Even though individually we are donating a small sum, the power of the collective makes real change.” 100% of all donations (minus credit card fees) goes to the selected charities.
Cool, huh? Lose one latte and become part of the common good. Sounds like a win-win to me.

Selfless asks you to pick your cause from a list that includes organizations like the no-kill animal shelter PAWS and the cancer-support network Imerman’s Angels. You pledge $9/month. In exchange for this, they offer awesome perks from local businesses. You’ll receive a Selfless perks card, which gets you deals all over Chicago like $10 off your annual Divvy membership, free appetizers at Rockit and $35 town car rides to O’Hare. They also have discounts at Finds’ Faves IVME, Sunda, Mia Francesca, Maza and more! You can pick one cause and stick with it or change monthly. Right now, Selfless is only in Chicago but they hope to expand!
Other things to know: 80% of your $9 monthly membership goes directly to the Cause of your choice. Once you sign up, you can change your Cause once a month or keep it the same, as well as make 1-time donations with 100% of your donation going to the Cause (Both tax deductible). You may cancel at any time.
Use the card often and you’ll save WAY more than you spend on your subscription fee. You know I will!!
