You may remember Ricky’s Lucky Nuts from my Snack Show Finds. They say, “Say goodbye to boring roasted nuts!” Ricky’s Lucky Nuts created uniquely flavored peanuts “designed to perk up your senses and entice your taste buds.” The sweet and spicy peanuts are GMO-free and made from all-natural ingredients. The peanuts come in savory and sweet nut varieties including Sweet and Smoky BBQ, Thai Red Curry, Sweet Chai, Spicy Chile Chipotle, Real Coffee, and Black Pepper & Sea Salt. I sampled some at the show and they gave me one of each flavor to try. They are also offering a reader giveaway, so read on and then enter to win one 12 pack of the flavor of your choice!
Ricky’s Lucky Nuts’ philosophy is “not to produce just another packaged snack product, but to make a flavored peanut that is truly ‘a nut like no other.’” Their roasted nuts are all-natural and healthy with no artificial ingredients of any kind. If they can’t pronounce an ingredient, they don’t want it! The nuts are also GMO-free. They are a company with conscience that tries to source as many goods and services as possible from local and regional businesses. They make all of the packaging in the USA with sustainable materials and support local community organizations for a variety of causes.
As I mentioned, the peanuts come in savory and sweet nut varieties including Sweet and Smoky BBQ, Thai Red Curry, Sweet Chai, Spicy Chile Chipotle, Real Coffee, and Black Pepper & Sea Salt. These are large peanuts that are lightly coated and not at all greasy. I tried the Black Pepper & Sea Salt, the Real Coffee and the Thai Red Curry and shared the others with friends. I loved all three that I tried. The Black Pepper & Sea Salt has a bold peppery taste and is great as a snack and/or with a beer or cockail. The Real Coffee is dry roasted with coffee so mixes protein and caffeine! They are a perfect afternoon pick me up. I like that they are not too sweet, too. The Thai Red Curry have a nice tangy, spicy flavor and are great by themselves of mixed in a salad or a noodle dish to add an Indian flare. These nuts are fresh and delicious. And, I agree, they are anything but boring. The nuts come in 1.75 oz or 5 oz bags. The small bags are awesome for people like me who can’t easily do portion control with big bags of delicious snacks. They are great for desk drawers or gym bags. They have some great recipes on their website, too!
