As a blogger who loves trying new things and sharing the best, I get LOTS of awesome things to try. Truth be told, I have become a bit behind in sharing some of my great finds. I am going to do mini-reviews, and previews, here and tell you about opportunities for you to try these awesome things, too!
Loom – The husband is the vacation photographer, but I tend to take a ton of photos with my iPhone of everyday life. This is all good, but I noticed that I was running out of space on my phone and filling up my photo stream, too. I was psyched to learn about Loom from a post on PureWow. Loom is a new iOS app that “[makes] it quick and easy for you to access and manage your entire photo and video library on every device, without taking up local storage space.”
With Loom, you get 5GB free cloud storage. You can set up your iPhone/iPad to upload photos to Loom. You can also add photos from your computer or wherever you have them online so that you have them all in one place. You can get up to 5GB additional free for referring your friends to Loom (500MB/friend for up to 10 referrals!)
You can see your photos on your iPhone or the web. They are organized by date, device and album so you can easily find the photos you are looking for.
I am digging Loom. Click HERE to create a free account and learn more.
I saw Lesser Evil Snacks on a bunch of sites and have tried them. I wrote to Lesser Evil and they sent me a bunch of products to try and will host a giveaway here soon, too. Lesser Evil is a cool company! Started in 2004, they strive to be “first snack food company in the chip aisle that are actually good for you.”
They say,
“Life is about balance, and we don’t believe in being perfect. We don’t take life too seriously, love to laugh, share stories and talk about our imperfections.
We promise to provide something that delivers more than just snack food. We want to engage our customers and share ideas, thoughts and smiles for your journey.”
Lesser Evil Snacks sent me 3 bags of their Chia Pop popcorn and 3 bags of their “Super 4 Snacks.” The Chia Pop is amazing. The Classic Theater popcorn is so addictive. At 38 calories per cup, this addiction will not be a problem. I also loved the Sea Salt and Cracked Pepper. The White Cheddar is not too cheesy, but it is also good. The husband ate some popcorn and he had no clue that it was healthy. I think in the same way it would be perfect for children!
The Super 4 Snacks are “empty calorie free” and are “power-full of ingredients like white beans, quinoa, lentils, and chia seed, among many others. Loaded with energy, clean ingredients, and alkaline so that it combats acidity, empower yourself with this super snack.” I gave Amanda and Kristin two flavors of the Super 4 snacks and I kept the Roasted Pepper flavor and the popcorns. Kept is a bit of an overstatement as I devoured them quickly. Kristin said the Kale and Roasted Garlic Super 4 Snacks were the perfect thing after her 20 mile Boston prep run. Amanda tried the Cheesy Nacho. She said,
“I’m not usually one for gluten-free snack foods, so this product was a very pleasant surprise. I really liked the light cheese flavor, perfect amount of spice, and super crunch, and would eat these over chips any day. My boyfriend, who takes taste over ‘health food,’ was also a fan. It was a great snack to eat while watching the March Madness.”
I am in love with the Lesser Evil snacks. All of these products have that “I can’t believe this is healthy” feel. I am a huge fan. My only complaint is that they don’t sell enough of the products at my local stores! Come on Whole Foods, help a girl out!
You can check out Lesser Evil here, on Facebook and Twitter. Great news, I will be hosting a giveaway soon, too!
Flow397 – I saw Flow397 on Twitter and went to check out their website. This is a small, new company committed to developing “a business that tries to be both the best in the world and the best for the world.” Started by two friends in 2011, the friends have developed an awesome clothing line for men, women and children who share their love of the outdoors. I sent them some fan mail and they sent me an awesome T-shirt to check out.
Flow397 makes stylish, comfortable clothes for folks who love to be active. It’s about “looking good on the outside and feeling good on the inside.” In addition to supporting the national parks with every purchase, they also care about the planet and use as many naturally occurring materials as possible.
Flow397 donates $3.97 for each item sold to charities that support our National Parks. Many of their designs have animals from the parks or their logo which has an awesome story, too. Their representation of “Flow” embodies the image of an individual with his/her arms raised overhead, enraptured by the current moment. Turned 90-degrees to the left, our primary “F” logo becomes the silhouette of this person with arms raised overhead in joy. To find and to feel flow is to LIVE.
My grand prize for my blogiversary includes a T-shirt from Flow397; They have offered a $20 gift certificate for one lucky reader. Use the Rafflecopter to enter to win! The giveaway is open to US residents, 18 years of age and older and is void where prohibited. The giveaway will close at the end of the day on 4/22 and a winner will be announced and notified on 4/23.
And, don’t forget to like Flow397 on Facebook or to follow on Twitter for some great contests and giveaways in the mean time! You can enter their Flow397 National and State Park Photo Contest for a chance to win $200 in gift cards, too! And, you could wind up with your photo on their tags, too!
