The husband and I often vacation on Thankgiving. This year we are in Nicaragua. Last year, I won a trip in the Passports with Purpose raffle for a 3 night stay at Jicaro Lodge near Granada, Nicaragua. It is a 9 room (casita) resort on a private island. Sound amazing? I won’t lie, it is! The facility is so nice, but the amazing service and beautiful surroundings put it way over the top for me and the husband. We added 6 additional nights and used Nicaragua Adventures to help us plan. So far we have been wowed by their service and the amazing guides we have met. It is also a remarkably affordable destination (once you get here-airfare was not cheap!)
So after a bit of my thanks, I am going to give away a few things I have picked up here that support the local artisans as a small token of my thanks for this experience and for my readers, too!

I could spend days writing about all that I am grateful for and for that I am eternally grateful. The short list includes (but is in no way limited to): the husband, our families, our friends far and near, our good fortune, this blog and all of the awesome people and brands who help me with it, our ability to go to new places and try new things, the fact that the husband and I still crack each other up after all of these years, my health, the husband’s health, our loved ones’ health… And on and on. My heart, like Piglet’s, is full. I wish I could thank each person who touches my heart individually but it would take more than one day. So to everyone reading, thank you! Pass on your thanks to those who make your life more full.
