If you follow this blog, you may notice that photography is not exactly my thing. Well, everyone has a thing and some bloggers have a gift for photography. I like to think I have gifts for other things, but I digress! When I do take pics, I use my iPhone. Check out some of the pics from our safari – not bad for a phone! I found some awesome posts on the travel site Matador Network that offer suggestions and uses for 20 apps to improve iPhone photography, or as they say iPhoneography!
The first post is 10 Awesome Apps for iPhoneography. They show a variety of apps that range from free to a whopping $1.99. Those sound like a good deal. These all look cool, but the Be Funky Photo Editor and Color Effects appeal to me (and look easy enough for me to use, too!) Be Funky Photo Editor (free) (and the Pro version ($1.99)) provide you with 20-55 different photo effects instantly and allows you to edit and add a variety of frames. You can use existing photos from your library or take new ones using the app. Color Effects (free) lets you remove or add color to your photos. You can pay to remove the ads. I have to work on the usability on this one!
The second is 10 More Awesome Apps for iPhoneography. Lack of creative naming not withstanding, the apps are all also really cool and range from free to $5.99. I like Leme Camera (free) and Pic Stitch (which is like another app I love PicCollage.)Leme Camera is a point-and-shoot app that let’s you get creative with various toy camera, lens, and film settings. It also incorporates a photo diary and photo sharing community where you can mingle with other Leme Camera users around the world. This particular shot of Petrzalka, Bratislava was taken with the 2 Exposure camera and random lens. Pic Stitch (free) is an app that allows you to combine multiple photos into one to make collages. There are 32 different layouts and 9 different photo aspect ratios and you can edit individual photo properties once you have added them. The last aspect works really well!
Check out the Pic Stitch collage that I made with these apps using the same photo (view from our apartment) for comparison:
That was fun! Are you into iPhoneography? What apps do you like?
