About Me

My name is Erica. I am a runner, bargain hunter, wife, traveler, wellness seeker, an inflexible yogi and someone who loves to learn and try new things. I live in Chicago, but still am a Jersey girl at heart.

about me

Some highlights!

I also like to find things. What kind of things? Places, people, restaurants, exercise classes, new ideas, aspirations, inspirations, motivations, great deals. You name it. I want to find it!

Everyone is good at something. I am good at connecting people with one another and with the things they are looking for.ย I decided to write this blog after several months of connecting people for job opportunities, finding great sales for friends on hotels and clothes and after posting about a zillion cool deals on Facebook for my friends to check out.ย I plan to post new things. Things that I think are cool… deals on things my friends may want… ideas… stories… and thoughts. I hope they are worth reading and sharing. I love to try new products, restaurants and places and then to blab about the ones I love.

What are you looking for? Can I help you find it?

If youโ€™re interested in having me “find” something you have or writing a review, please email erica at ericafinds dot com. I am almost always willing to try something new – especially races and exercise classes… oh yes… and healthy snacks! After giving an honest review, I would be happy to host and promote a giveaway!

Thanks for the tweet Erica and the help promoting our indiegogo.

We’d love to send you some sample chocolates. Would you like to do a give-away where we ship direct to the winner or would you like us to send you a few pieces (4) to give out to friends? The indiegogo ends in 9 days!

  2. Erica, I found your blog this morning as I was perusing through Chicago area running blogger sites. I really like it! I am scouting local bloggers to feature on localraces.com. Would you be interested in having your blog listed as a top Chicago area blogger? If you wouldn’t mind introducing your readers to localraces.com, we would be happy to include you! Here is a quick rundown of what it’s all about!
Our team has been aggregating upcoming race event information from 3rd party registration engines like Active.com and others. We also indexed area trails, running clubs, and cycling clubs and will soon offer local clubs free profile pages, content and event management software, and secure online event and membership registration capabilities.

To summarize, localraces.com is where Chicago area runners can:
Search and sign up for upcoming Chicago area race events across all major registration engines
Find Chicago area running and cycling clubs and even register online for club membership
Discover group runs, rides, and social activities
Browse and learn about local trails
Explore a community resource directory of running retailers, bike shops, and more
Manage their activities, including their race itinerary, race results, event photos, personal records, and goals.
Feel free to include this information, screenshots, etc. Give me a heads up after your post and we will add you to our Chicago running community resource directory located on the lower portion of our homepage in our next site update. Thanks in advance!
