I Blabbed (I Mean Blogged) Too Soon – Gilt Deal for KlutchClub

Normally, I don’t post two days in a row, but this could be a good one!

So last week I saw a post for a new service called Bestowed. Bestowed is a new healthy snack box that arrives monthly with 5 new snacks chosen by a registered dietician (according to them “each one hand picked by celebrity nutritionist and author Heather Bauer”.) I was going to ask if anyone thought it was worth $15 a month or $165 a year, but then I decided it wasn’t. I can go check out new stuff at Whole Foods myself! (Apparently there are a bunch of these types of things and some of them sound cool. Check out this link at the Greatist. And let me know if you try any, too!)

Then, I saw a Gilt City deal for KlutchClub and I thought it was the same thing, so I was about to pass it up. Then, I looked at what was in the May Box… This is not a few snacks — it is a chance to try health and fitness products from major brands – for less than $20 a month ($12 for one month and $34 for 3 months with the Gilt deal in the link here!)

Last month’s box looked like this:

So what is in the May box?

– Hydroxatone’s Instant Effect 90 Second Wrinkle Reducer (one-of-a-kind $70 serum risk-free!)
– ONE coconut water
– Moving Comfort sports bra (certificate for a FREE one – HELLO! that is worth more than the cost of the box alone!)
– Yoga Download classes
– Think Thin bars (two different flavors)
– A KLUTCHclub water bottle

How does this work?? Well, the brands are using this as a promotional channel and get trials of their products out to KlutchClub members for a very low cost. Will this business model work? I don’t know, but for $34 I am going to test it out for 3 months and tell you all what I FIND!

What do you think? Worth a try??
