As you know, I’m always on the look out for new healthy snacks. I saw Frooze Balls on Katie’s Instagram stories. I checked them out and learned that they are New Zealand’s top selling healthy snack! I bought some to try and then got in touch with the US distributor. They sent me more and are going to send some variety packs out to lucky winners – so read on!
Frooze Balls are plant-based energy balls made with clean, raw ingredients. They were made by a popular cafe in Auckland, NZ. They became so popular that they had to mass produce them to keep up with demand. Before they knew it, Frooze Balls were the top selling healthy snack in New Zealand.
Frooze Balls are gluten-free, vegan, non-GMO and have no added sugar. They use only clean, simple ingredients like raw dates, raisins, sunflower seeds, coconut and peanuts. There is nothing artificial and they contain no preservatives.
Frooze Balls come in 6 flavors and each pack contains 5 bite-sized balls. The flavors are Dark Forest (Cherry), Salted Maple, Lemon Cheesecake, Mint & Cacao, Fudgetastic and Peanut Butter. Each ball has ~50 calories so the whole pack is like eating an energy bar. A few of these are great when you need a little pick me up!
I tried Salted Maple and Fudgetastic first. I love the taste and the size is perfect. I like to have a few before a workout or after – or both!
I brought some to Cycle for Survival to share with my team. Kristen loved the Peanut Butter and she plans to order some for her travels. She drives a lot for work so she is always looking for clean snacks on the go. Everyone grabbed a bag to try and the feedback was good!
