Grab a Cup for the March Ultimate Coffee Date!

The-Ultimate-Coffee-Date2-1-600x600Welcome to the third Ultimate Coffee Date link up of 2017. Another year is off to a quick start. Iā€˜m linking up with Coco @ Running with Perseverance and Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner. What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup , “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that The Husband and I have started our leap frog of travels and not being in the same place at the same time. Absence makes the heart grow fonder – right? By the end of March our hearts will be very fond. One or both us will be away more than half the month. We’re traveling mostly for fun, and a little for work, so we really can’t complain.

I’m planning to stop by to see the folks from Know Brainer at Expo West!

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’m super excited to be heading to Expo West again this year. I can’t wait to try all of the foods/drinks and to meet many people. They’re expecting over 3,000 Natural Foods vendors. Here is the exhibitor list. What should I check out first?

I’ll meet up with my SIL and her family, some friends and perhaps my in-laws. I’m bummed that the 5K that Nicole and I ran last year is not being held, but I’ll enjoy some sunny running.

2017 Erica Finds Team (minus Barbra)

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that our Cycle for Survival team raised almost $25,000 this year! It was another amazing day. Here’s my recap. I’m joining Alexandra’s Playground again for my 6th NYC Half Marathon to honor Alex Vitale and to raise money to build playgrounds for children in need. I’m planning another raffle this year, so if you want to enter early here is a link to my Crowdrise page. I’m kind of a big deal on Crowdrise, so I have some swag to share.

Anyone who donates $10 or more to my Alexandra’s Playground fundraiser (here) before I put up my raffle will be entered to win this “Decent Human” water bottle from Camelbak. (And then will be entered to win the other raffle prizes, too!) (US postal addresses only, must be 18 or over to win and void where prohibited.)

If we were having coffee… I’d ask if you’ve been watching This is Us. I have been LOVING it! The Husband’s not on board so I’ve been watching it and talking to Larry and Dan about it. I just love all of the feels! Are you watching?

Taryn Brumfitt’s controversial Before and After photo went viral on Facebook.

If we were having coffee… I’d tell you that I’m still thinking about body image after watching Taryn Brumfitt’s Embrace. Brumfitt is a photographer who created a viral sensation by posting a super fit “before” shot (at a fitness competition) and a regular woman “after” shot. You can read my review and see a preview of the movie here.

If we were having coffee… I’d have told you some exciting news. It’s not quite time for a public reveal, so come back in April to hear all about it!

What’s happening by you? Please share your coffee talk in the comments!

  1. I think that it is appropriate that March is Lent, as you and the Neal seem to give up seeing each other during that time every year! I think I know what the news is šŸ˜€

LOL re Susie’s comment! I’ve got back-to-back, week-long out of the country trips in April – I surely will miss my husband while I’m gone. I haven’t heard about Brumfitt, but I know women who’ve done fitness competitions who could have similar before and after shots. I bet it will be an interesting film.

  3. Everyone seems to love this is us-I may need to give it a second chance. My husband travels a lot as well so sometimes we don’t see each other for a while either but 22 years later things are good! Thanks for joining us today fun to catch up

  8. I agree, absence make the heart grow fonder! When travels get us all busy and distant it makes coming home that much more fun!

Hey, thanks for supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals! I really appreciate it.

  10. Way to go for you and your Cycle team in raising so much money! That is awesome!
Hope your training is going well for the NYC Half. I’m running the NYC Marathon later this year, but the Half is on my bucket list for the future! NYRR has some awesome races.

Have you run NYC Marathon? I’m a “streaker” (15 years plus) so I’m guaranteed for life and plan to run my 18th NYCM this year šŸ™‚ I have lots of good tips from previous years on the blog if you’re interested. NYC Half is awesome! I highly recommend it!
