Healthier in ’17: Stay in the Game with Salonpas #Giveaway

Happy New Year! I have a confession to make. I’ve been holding out on you. This fall, I had the opportunity to test out a bunch of great healthy products. I decided to hold out and to do a “Healthier in ’17” series of posts and giveaways to power a healthier 2017 for my readers.

Many people resolve to “get fit” and then hit the ground running on January 1st. While I totally encourage a getting started with a fitness plan, it’s easy to over do it and to suffer pains and strains. If you jumped on the fitness wagon and feel like it’s run you over, there are plenty natural ways to keep pain at bay to stay on track.

Here are some tips to try if you pushed too hard/too fast on that fitness resolution:

  1. If I feel sore all over, I take an epsom salt bath.
  2. If I feel an acute pain after working out, I try RICE (Rest. Ice. Compression. Elevation.)
  3. If I feel really tight, I use my foam roller.
  4. You can also try to focus on eating foods with inflammation fighting properties. Read more about this and other natural pain relieving ideas here.

Looking for a quick fix for acute aches and pains? Many of us reach for oral pain relievers to get over aches and pains. These pills can have some tough side effects and usually only last a few hours. Salonpas makes a variety of topical products and patches to offer fast pain relief without potentially dangerous side effects.

Salonpas has been in the pain relief business for a LONG time. Salonpas brand patches were first introduced in 1934. They’ve worked so well that they’ve been a worldwide market leader for many years. Now, Salonpas’ Pain Relief Patch and Arthritis Patch are the only over the counter FDA-approved topical pain relievers that provide up to 12 full hours of relief.

Patches, sprays and gels are applied at the site of pain, so they work quickly. They come in a variety of forms and sizes for different areas of the body. I’ve used the Pain Relief Patches when I’ve tweaked my back doing plyometrics. (Yes, I’ve done it more than once.) I found that the gel helped me when I’ve had muscular pain like a hip strain after running a marathon. In both cases, I used massage and physical therapy, as well. The patches/gels helped relieve the pain before and during the other courses of treatment. I’m excited to try the Jet Spray next time I need it. (Hopefully not too soon!)

The folks at Salonpas have offered to send one lucky reader the same product kit that I received. This product bundle retails for over $100! Please use the Rafflecopter below to enter. The giveaway runs through Thursday, January 19. The winner will be notified on Friday, January 20. Winner must be a US resident, 18 years of age or older and the offer is void where prohibited.

How do you deal with pain from overdoing your workout? Ever tackle too much too fast with your fitness resolutions?
