Friday Five: A Taste of Things To Come

It’s Friday, so I’m linking up with Courtney at Eat, Pray, Run DC, Cynthia at You Signed Up for What and Mar at Mar on the Run. Each week they pick a theme and bloggers join in and link up. This year instead of specific themes, they are letting us be creative with broad themes for each week of the month. This is the a “food” themed week. I am previewing five new brands/ new products from brands I love. Just when I think I’ve tried all the bars and nut butters, I hear about something new.

Here are 5 great new bars / nut butters that I’m tasting and planning to review. It’s a “Taste of Things to Come.”

1. Bliss Nut Butters – The nice folks at Bliss Nut Butters followed my Instagram account and liked a bunch of my photos. [Thank you!] I messaged them and said I’d love to try a sample of their products to tell folks about on the blog. Daniell sent me a FULL SIZED set of products to try AND one to give away! I’ve tried the Cashew Butter so far and it is AMAZING! Stay tuned for a review and giveaway. In the mean time, you can get Bliss Nut Butters online or in select west coast stores. Trust me, the name is right on target!

2. Clif Nut Butter Filled Bars – Clif has been around for years but they keep getting better and better. How? They just launched nut butter filled energy bars! The bars are organic, non-GMO and are low glycemic. And, filled with nut butter! I went to a Clif Bar fan appreciation party this week and got 3 boxes of 3 flavors. I picked up Chocolate Hazelnut Butter, Coconut Almond Butter and Chocolate Peanut Butter. I’ve tried a few this summer and they are delish! I have some up for grabs on Instagram [link] and will share more, I promise. You can get these on  The Feed, in many supermarkets and online. (Sign up for The Feed to get $5 off your first order.)

3. The Yes Bar – 2 new flavors! In 2014, I found The Yes Bar and worked with founder Abigail on a review and giveaway. See it HERE. At the time, they had two flavors: Macadamia Coconut and Mocha Cayenne. They’re nutritious AND delicious. I saw them written up as a top nutrition bar recently by Foodtrainers. They also have two new flavors: Black Sesame Sea Salt and Strawberry Coconut. All flavors are free of dairy, gluten, soy and corn and they are non-GMO. I reconnected with them and they sent me all four flavors for me AND a set to give away. Stay tuned for the updated review and giveaway! In the mean time, you can find them online and via Finds’ friend Undiscovered Kitchen.

joje-bars

4. JoJe BarsI recently got an email from The Feed that said, “Are you ready to enjoy the most delicious bar ever? Introducing JoJé Bars (formerly Harmony Bars)! These tasty morsels are freshly baked using the finest ingredients. JoJé bars stand out from the pack because they taste like a soft-baked cookie. Additionally, they provide you with substantial fuel to support your training and everyday life.” Tastes like a cookie? Yes please! I ordered 5 flavors to try plus extras to share. So far, I’ve tried Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip and it doesn’t disappoint. Stay tuned for a review and giveaway. In the mean time, you can check out JoJe online or at The Feed. bestie

5. Bestie Almond and Cashew Butter – Just like Clif, Peanut Butter & Co. keeps getting better and better. They recently introduced Bestie, a line of nut butters with no added sugar. They’re non-GMO, vegan and gluten free. I have a recipe, review and giveaway coming in October. In the mean time, you can get Bestie and some delicious PB and Co. peanut butter while you’re at it HERE. I loaded up on Pumpkin Spice recently – it’s seasonal.

Which of these new finds are you most excited to try?

Have a great weekend!
