I’m still working through all of the awesome goodies that I tried at Sweets & Snacks! I had the opportunity to meet Tyler from Project 7. Project 7 makes fancifully flavored, sugar free gum, mints and now yummy, gummy bears. These products are non-GMO, made in the USA and contain no artificial flavors, preservatives or colors. They also give back to the community and the world by supporting charities that work on 7 main causes: hunger, homelessness, illness, the environment, education, water and world peace. They are “products for good!”
The story of how these products came to be is amazing and pretty funny. Tyler wanted to make products that he could sell to benefit great causes that he cared about to support his 7 cause areas. He decided to make “products for good!” He said, “If people are going to buy things, lots of things. Then let’s use those things they purchase to help change the world around us. Let’s make everyday products for everyday people to solve everyday problems around the globe.” He started with bottled water and pitched it to a big chain. They told him that they were accepting new products in the gum category. After a few self described “terrible” flavors, Tyler came up with Project 7 sugar free gum in Birthday Cake and Coconut Lime. The rest as they say is history.
Now Project 7 makes eight great flavors of gum, two kind of mints and three kinds of gummies. [The gummies are not sugar free – thank goodness!] They also make six “Build a Flavor” two packs that offer 3 in 1. You can eat one or another or combine to make a third awesome combo flavor. In addition to Birthday Cake and Coconut Lime, the gum now comes in Grapefruit Melon, Rainbow Ice, Kettle Pop, Front Porch Lemonade, Wedding Cake and Peppermint Vanilla. The Build a Flavors include these and other awesome flavors like Vanilla Ice Cream and Margarita among others!
I’m a big fan of Grapefruit Melon, Coconut Lime and the Half & Half Build a flavor. The Front Porch Lemonade and Sweet Tea flavors are also awesome alone. I also love the packs of Peppermint Vanilla mints and the slim pouch fits perfectly in my purse and travel bag. The richer flavors like the S’mores Build a Flavor are great for staving off a chocolate craving, too!
