It’s Friday, so I am linking up with Courtney at Eat, Pray, Run DC, Cynthia at You Signed Up for What and Mar at Mar on the Run for their weekly linkup. Each week they pick a theme and bloggers join in and link up. This year instead of specific themes, they are letting us be creative with broad themes for each week of the month. You may have noticed that I have been talking A LOT about healthy food finds and treats for the last few weeks. Well, my cupboard truly runs over since I have connected with some amazing folks after Chicago Sweets and Snacks. I have some other great new finds, too. These are the foods that I found recently that I cannot stop thinking about (or eating!) Stay tuned, there will be some more great giveaways in the next few weeks!

Yet Another Five New Food Faves!

simple mills pics

1. Simple Mills Almond Flour Crackers – I meant to check out Simple Mills at Expo West at Kimberly’s suggestion, but I missed them. Simple Mills is a Chicago company that makes gluten free baking mixes. Recently, they added almond flour crackers in four flavors to their line up. I tried them at the Good Food Festival and I was hooked. I wrote to them and they sent me one of each flavor to try. They come in Sea Salt, Rosemary and Sea Salt, Cheddar Cheese and Sundried Tomato and Basil. I plan to do a full review and giveaway in the next few weeks. Spoiler alert – they are amazing! Even The Husband digs them. In the mean time, you can find Simple Mills on the web and on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

2. Good Zebra Spirit Animal Crackers – My friend Ben asked me if I wanted to check out his friend Erika’s new company’s cookies. Um, that must have been a rhetorical question – right? Good Zebra makes “spirit animal” crackers in three flavors: lemon, chai and vanilla. They wanted to “reinvent their favorite treat in an all natural way.” They also have a ton of personality. They make “fearlessly crap free noisy little beasts” that are all natural and sweetened with honey. They also have 6 grams of protein per serving and taste amazing. Don’t worry… a full review and giveaway are coming soon! In the mean time, you can find Good Zebra on the web (get 20% off through Sunday, June 19 with code STRIPESHONOR) and on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

picky bar moroccan

3. Picky Bars Moroccan Your World – Finds’ Fave Picky Bar is at it again with their newest sweet/savory combo Moroccan Your World. It is gluten, dairy, soy and GMO free. It features a “unique blend of spices inspired by Moroccan cuisine, including turmeric, which is known for its bright yellow hue, earthy taste, and anti-inflammatory properties. Hey-o! Other major tastebud players in this bar are cardamom (great for digestion!) pistachios and ginger for a little kick.” It tastes amazing and I am so excited to see the additional nutritional boost from turmeric and ginger! You can find them on the web and on Facebook, Facebook and Instagram.

perky

4. Perky Snack Bites – I met Gil from The Fruitful Children at Sweets & Snacks. He started his company after using nutrition to boost his health and to help with his son’s behavioral issues. He healed his family with food and wanted to share the love and health with all of us. He makes gluten free fruit/veggie snack bites that are low glycemic, additive free, non-GMO and contain no artificial flavors or preservatives. A full review and giveaway are coming soon! In the mean time, you can find them on the web and on Facebook and Instagram.

heavenly chocolate patties

5. Heavenly Organics 100% Organic Chocolate Honey Patties – Heavenly Organics harvests honey from naturally occuring wild beehives in the Himalayan Mountains. The honey is chemical free and pesticide free. It also tastes amazing.   They also make 100% Organic Chocolate Honey Patties with two to four organic, fair trade ingredients. They are gluten free, dairy free, soy free and have no added sugar. They are so good that they won a Nexty at Expo West! They are delicious and are a perfect size for an after dinner treat! You can check out and buy Heavenly Organics on the web. You can also follow on Facebook and Instagram. (Check out Stacy’s delicious Grilled Honey Glazed Salmon using Heavenly Organics honey HERE.)
