Friday Five: New Fave Food Finds!

It’s Friday, so I am linking up with Courtney at Eat, Pray, Run DC, Cynthia at You Signed Up for What and Mar at Mar on the Run for their weekly linkup. Each week they pick a theme and bloggers join in and link up. This year instead of specific themes, they are letting us be creative with broad themes for each week of the month. This is the a “Favorites” themed week.

Five Fave Food Finds

You may have noticed that I have been talking A LOT about healthy food finds for the last few weeks. Well, my cupboard truly runs over since I have connected with some amazing folks after Expo West. These are the foods that I found recently that I cannot stop thinking about (or eating!) Stay tuned, there will be some giveaways in the next few weeks!

Five New Fave Food (and Drink) Finds That I Can’t Get Enough Of!

foodie fuel

1. Fuel Snacks by Foodie Fuel – I met Eloise from Foodie Fuel at Expo West. I tried all four flavors of these awesome organic, superfood snacks. These crunchy snacks are gluten free, non-GMO, paleo friendly and are nut free, too. They contain “no artificial anything!” They are also really delicious. They focus on clean ingredients with “slow burning carbs” and healthy fats. These addictive snacks come in four flavors: Butter Toffee, Cinnamon Ginger, Coconut Vanilla and Swiss Chocolate. Stay tuned for a big giveaway in May! In the mean time, you can find Fuel Snacks on the web and on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

truth bar

2. Truth Bars – Another Expo West “find.” I met the team four days after their launch. These brand new bars are filled with “ingredients with purpose.” They contain probiotics and pre-biotics and offer all natural versions of some of your favorite sweets – peppermint brownie, dark chocolate dipped coconut and chocolate almond crunch. So tasty and it’s like healthy candy – a win-win! I just sent out a few of these in my “Expo West New Finds Giveaway” and I am working with the company to bring you a full review and giveaway soon! In the mean time, you can find Truth Bars on the web, on Amazon and on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Brami Beans

3. Brami BeansEvery so often, I try a product and wonder “why have we not had these before??” If you have been to Italy, you may have tried lupini beans. These soft beans are meant to be eaten like edamame. They have a ton of protein and fiber. They are a “Roman Superfood.” These beans come in four flavors: Sea Salt, Hot Pepper, Chili Lime and Garlic and Herb. I tried these at Expo West and ordered a sampler of two of each. I am still working my way through the flavors. I may share some. You may have to get your own! You can check them out Brami Beans the web, Amazon and on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

jiva coffee cubes

4. Jiva Cubes– I saw an article that discussed Jiva Cubes’ successful Kickstarter. You know I am coffee obsessed. Instant coffee gets a bad rap, but I am open to it since I tried True Start. I also liked Jiva’s story and heritage. They say, “A great cup of coffee depends on quality beans, a good machine and a delicate process. When that isn’t possible have it all done for you with Jiva Cubes.” This high quality, instant coffee (in cubes) comes in six flavors and even the plain have a bit of sugar (34 calories per cube). You just drop it into hot water and after 30 seconds, stir to enjoy! I love the classic, strong and flavors I have tried. I just got some more. Again, I am likely to share… if you are lucky! You can get it on the Jiva Cubes or on Amazon. You can also follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Screen Shot 2016-04-14 at 9.07.08 PM5. Karma Nuts Wrapped Cashews I met the Karma Nuts folks at Expo West, too. I told them that I loved their Raw Cashews and they said I had to check out their new wrapped cashews, too. These unique cashew retain their natural skin, so they’re extra crunchy, toasty, tasty and full of nutrition. They are dry roasted and lightly salted. They won the “Nexty” at Expo West. I am a big fan! I am working with Karma to bring you a give away and lots more delicious nuts to check out. In the mean time, you can find them on the web or on Amazon. You can also follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
