I can’t believe it’s 2016! Happy New Year! Welcome to the first Ultimate Coffee Date link up of the new year. I‘m linking up again with Coco @ Running with Perseverance, Lynda @ Fitness Mom Wine Country, & Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner for the first “Ultimate Coffee Date” of 2016. What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. So grab a cup and “listen” and then tell me what is going on with you in the comments, please!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that… The Husband and I are in for another whirlwind January where we will pass like ships in the night. Next week, I am going to San Francisco for a work meeting and then to Vegas to see my mom. When I go to Vegas, he will go to LA to ski with his dad, BIL and nephew and then to San Francisco for a meeting (I know – right?) I will come back and then hit St Louis for a day. He will come back and the next day and I will go to southern CA for MLK weekend and then to San Fran for another work meeting. He has a guys trip at the end of the month. Let the games begin!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that… I don’t make New Year’s resolutions but I am going to try to stick with these 5 easy ones that I wrote about in my Friday 5. I also loved the Freakonomics podcast that was rebroadcast this week entitled “When willpower is not enough.” They talk about “temptation bundling” like only watching TV at the gym so that you can meet your exercise goals. I do that with my reality TV watching – treadmill only!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that… My hamstring is feeling SO much better. I am still not sure about my February 14th Los Angeles Marathon, but we are still going no matter what to see the Olympic Trials, family and to run/cheer. It is all good! And as an added The Husband and I will be in the same place at the same time. Woot!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that… My brother visited and shamed me into cleaning out my tea and spice cabinets. He was beyond horrified that I had a zillion teas that may or may not have been in there since we moved here in 2006. One of my “easy” resolutions was to get organized a bit at a time. So I cleaned out 4 bags of old tea and spices. Phew.
I also cleaned out my cabinets. I found some awesome gluten free baking products and realized that I am NEVER going to make them, because I DON’T BAKE. So guess what? I am going to give these awesome mixes away! I have Paleoful Chewy Chocolate Cookie Mix, Brownie Mix and Chocolate Chip Cookie mix (all grain free, vegan and non-GMO). Also, Namaste Foods GF Pizza Crust Mix, Eat Pastry GF Buttermilk Biscuit Mix and Bello Lea Artisan Kitchen GF Pizza Kit. Want to win? Leave a comment with your new year’s resolution or anything else you’d tell me if we were having coffee! Winner will be selected in order of comment with random.org on Sunday 1/10 at 8:00 PM CST. Winner must be a US resident, 18 years of age or older and offer is void where prohibited. The winner is Pam C. comment #54!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that… I am super excited to have been chosen for two new ambassadorships: Run Gum and CEP Compression. I have been writing about CEP for the last few years so I was SUPER excited to have been chosen to be an ambassador. Get set for some awesome reviews and shares of my loot! The same goes for Run Gum! They just introduced Cinnamon to go with Mint and Fruit! I love them all and so will you.
Wow! I have rambled on long enough – our coffee will get cold! What would you have told me? Please let me know in the comments. I look forward to our all of our monthly virtual coffee dates in 2016!
PS. Resolve not to miss any of my great giveaways this year!
