Friday Five: 5 Food Finds I’m Excited to Share

It’s Friday, so I am linking up with Courtney at Eat, Pray, Run DC, Cynthia at You Signed Up for What and Mar at Mar on the Run for their weekly linkup. Each week they pick a theme and bloggers join in and link up. This year instead of specific themes, they are letting us be creative with broad themes for each week of the month. This is the first “Favorites” themed week. I am excited to preview five new (to me) food finds that I will be reviewing in the next few weeks. They are bound to become my new faves. Stay tuned, there will be some giveaways in the next few weeks – and a link to one on Instagram now!

noka

1. Noka Superfood Blends – I supported the Kickstarter for Noka Organics Superfood Blends. These organic, vegan superfood pouches contain fruits, vegetables, vegan protein, flaxseeds and superfoods. The packages are BPA free. The pouches come in three flavors Sweet Potato/Goji Berry, Mango/Coconuet and Blueberry/Goji Berry. I am excited to try these and to share some of my perks, too. You can buy them on Noka’s website or on Amazon. You can keep up with them on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

lovebeets

2. Love Beets Bars – The folks at Love Beets have introduced some new bars for “healthy goodness on the go.” The flavors are Beet & Apple, Beet & Cherry and Beet & Blueberry. They also contain sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds, but no nuts and all clean ingredients. Plus, the bars are gluten-free, GMO-free, nut-free and a good source of protein and fiber. I am trying to avoid added sugar and these bars have none. Yay! I tried Beet & Blueberry. It was delicious. I am giving away one of each flavor on Instagram through 1/20. You can get these bars on the Love Beets website and follow Love Beets on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

tea

4. Kennocha Bay Tea – Reboot – I received this tea through my relationship with Tomoson. It is made in the USA. The tea is intended to naturally boost your energy levels with a formulation of herbs and green tea. This “energizing and stimulating” tea blend is made of Green Tea, Rooibos Tea, Ginseng Roots, Linden Blossom, Rose Petals, Lemon, Orange Granule, Orange and Natural Orange Flavor. It is intended to boost energy and eliminate harmful toxins. I am excited to try it and tell you about it! This tea can be purchased on Amazon.

goodbites

5. Goodbites Raw Cookies and Crackers – I tried Goodbites Coconut Brownie Bites in a subscription box and then ordered a sampler of cookies and crackers. I am trying to focus on healthy eating and these raw cookies and crackers made with superfoods fit the bill! They say (and I agree) that “raw, vegan, and naturally sweet Goodbites sweets are superfood—and super GOOD—treats that will satisfy your between-meal cravings, without the guilt or the sugar crash.” I am a BIG fan. The Cheesy Crackers are made entirely of raw, organic, vegan, gluten-free, and non-GMO ingredients. Perfect for on-the-go snacking. They are flavored with oregano, rosemary and thyme.  They are also soy and sugar free. You can follow Goodbites on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
