Friday Finds: 5 Places on My Travel Bucket List

It’s Friday, so I am linking up with Courtney at Eat, Pray, Run DC, Cynthia at You Signed Up for What and Mar at Mar on the Run for their weekly linkup. Each Friday, they host a link up — a “Friday Five.” This week, the theme is “Five Dream Vacations.”

The Husband and I LOVE to travel. We have already hit a few major bucket list destinations like Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Macchu Pichu in Peru, the Harding Ice Field in Alaska, Iguazu Falls in Argentina, Capetown and Kruger National Park for a safari in South Africa, Hong Kong, Italy, France, Russia, Hawaii and many more places. My bucket list grows as I watch my friend Rhys and others traveling and I see and hear more about the world. I basically want to go EVERYWHERE so here is a snippet of places in my head right now.

Feeling grateful looking back on all of these awesome memories! (And thinking I need a makeover!)

So in no specific order… 5 Places on my Travel Bucket List

1. Morocco -Rhys is there now so it is top of mind, but this has been on my bucket list for a long, long time. It looks so beautiful and mysterious. I imagine the sites, sounds and smells would be thrilling.

2. New Zealand (and Australia while we are down under) – I would love to visit our friend Amelia and go on a trek and really just get away from it all. It seems like a great place to disconnect.

3. Croatia – I have been pretty fascinated with this small Mediterranean country since some neighbors visited about 10 years ago. I remember it at war when I was a kid. It looks so beautiful and I imagine it is less touristy than some of its neighbors.

4. Sweden (and Finland and Norway while there) – My obsession with Scandinavian mysteries and the simple aesthetic has always piqued my interest. The more I learn about these countries, the more I would like to visit – in summer of course so it would be filled with light.

5. India with Sapna –  I am intimidated by India. I have always thought I would be completely overwhelmed by the crowds, and in some areas the poverty, in India. Since I met Sapna in 2010, I realize that some of her experiences away from the cities (in the mountains especially) and in cities she is at home in would make her the best companion to experience India with. We really need to start playing the megamillions together again!
