Tried It Tuesday: Organic Girl “Get Real” Juices

logo_organicgirlYou may have seen on my Sunday post that the Chicago Fit Foodie 5K was cancelled due to course flooding. That was a bummer, but all was not lost. I still had fun with friends and picked up some great health foodie finds. First up, Organic Girl “Get Real” Juices. You may know Organic Girl for their “good clean greens” or their new salad dressings. They recently launched a new line of “Get Real” juices. Their tag line is “More Greens. Less Fruit.”

New Organic Girl Get Real Juices
I tried a green and a red “get real” juice.

These organic, cold pressed juices have on average 3 servings of vegetables per bottle and only 45 calories. They are vegan, non-GMO, gluten free and organic. They say, “we love greens, so we made green juice that tastes good without fruit as the first ingredient.”

Pretty amazing nutritional profile!

I tried the “Fuel Your Ride” with carrot, kale, spinach, cucumber, beet and parsley and the “Be Cool” with mint, cucumber, spinach, green tea and kale. The lead ingredient in both is organic cucumber juice. Both of these are mild and tasty and are not at all sweet. I especially liked the Be Cool. The mix of juices is light and refreshing and the green tea, lime and mint are a unique mix of complimentary flavors. I love the idea of a quick way to get 3 servings of veggies in without a lot of sugar. Don’t you?

Check here for the stores that carry salad dressings and (most likely) the new juices. The juices will be sold in Chicago at Mariano’s and many stores west of the Mississippi.

Want to try one? I have 5 coupons for free juice to share with readers. I will select 5 people from the comments at random using random.org and will send you a coupon. The winners are: Kimberly G., Jen Y., Amanda C., Kristin K and Katrina. Please check to see if they are offered near you. If not, feel free to comment but tell me that you don’t need the coupon. Winners will be selected and notified on Saturday 9/19.

Want to keep up with Organic Girl? You can check out their website here. Also, follow on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

Please note: I received promotional samples of these juices plus coupons at the Fit Foodie Run. I was not compensated for this post and am sharing free coupons that I received to use at will and not on request of Organic Girl.
