I was planning to have a giveaway for today “in the can” before I left for vacation. Best laid plans… However, you are in luck! Colombians love coffee and sweets just like me. They are everywhere! I got some extras to share with one lucky reader.
On our second day in Colombia, we learned about coffee. Most coffees here have a small hole in the top/front so that you can smell the fragrance. It is a fragrance before you add water, then it is an aroma. Who knew? They also have many ways to prepare different types of coffees. It is a science and an art. I got an extra bag of Amor Perfecto (Perfect Love) Antioquia edition. That is the region we are in.
There are also sweets EVERYWHERE. In Medellin caramel (called dulce or Arequipa) is ubiquitous. We tried it alone, with ice cream and with wafers. Yum! I got a small bag of Canutos caramels to share.
