It’s Here – Cycle for Survival & More Fun Stuff From This Week!

eOzEpYV1It’s finally Cycle for Survival Day! I am so proud to say that our Erica Finds’ team raised $10,456 as of last night! So awesome! It’s not too late to read why I ride and to enter to win one of the 10 awesome prizes in my raffle (total value well over $500!) Only $10 to enter – and an entry for every additional $10, too! 10 winners to be drawn and notified on Monday 2/23.

Cycle Collage 2
My collage for the wall at Cycle for Survival. I can’t wait to pin it up IRL!

I am really excited about this great photo for the photo wall. One of our team’s biggest donors was my friend, Deb. Deb was a team member the last 3 years, but was unable to join this year because she moved. We ride in memory of her parents, Steven and Honey Gutfeld, who both lost their battles with cancer. As I mentioned on Thanksgiving, my friend Ivonne Mosquera-Schmitt was treated at MSK this November for a rare bladder cancer after losing her sight to retinoblastoma when she was a child. We ride to honor and support Ivonne in her recovery. Need to feel inspired? Check out Ivonne’s story and her very inspiring blog. (Link in this post.)

I will let you know how it goes today, but I know from the past 3 years that I will be inspired and humbled by the amazing spirit of Cycle for Survival. Here are my recaps from 2013 and 2014.

I have a few other fun things to share:

ff bag1If you have been following this blog for a while, you know that I post deals and new finds in my “Friday Finds” segment. I have been doing that every Friday for almost 3 years. Last Friday, the CBS show “The Talk” launched deals under the banner of “Friday Finds” and told their readers to go to FridayFinds.com to get them. Guess what? If you type Friday Finds.com into Google, you get a link to my Friday Finds. So, I got almost 20 times the usual traffic of a normal Friday. I went accidentally viral. Holla! Have no fear, once I figured out what was going on, I posted their link. Looks like some of the folks read my page and clicked links, too! Maybe this will be a new Friday trend and this will accidentally become a big time blog. Thank you CBS!

I also learned that I was selected to be an ambassador for two awesome companies: Janji and FitFluential!

Not only does your purchase provide a tangible relief for hunger and thirst around the world, but wearing the brightly colored clothing helps raise awareness. Plus, you look awesome. Here is my original review post. What does this mean for you? Some great posts and giveaways and fun stuff from Janji so stay tuned!
