Ultimate Coffee Date

Happy New Year! Iβ€˜m linking up with Coco @ Running with Perseverance, Lynda @ Fitness Mom Wine Country, & Deborah @ Confessions of a Mother Runner for the first “Ultimate Coffee Date” for 2015. What is the Ultimate Coffee Date? Imagine we are having coffee together… this post is what I would tell you. This is my first attempt at virtual coffee talk!

The Ultimate Coffee Date

If we were having coffee together… I would tell you that we had such a fun, whirlwind holiday in California. We jetted all over seeing friends and family (and finally met our ADORABLE niece, Juliette). I ran every day in the canyons and stopped to take pics of the views and other things that tickled me. The husband’s family showered us with gifts, as always, but we enjoyed the time (and amazing food) with them even more than “stuff.” We were so excited to see friends from Chicago, NYC, the husband’s b-school and my college. It was like “This is Your Life” California style. I also got to run a half marathon in San Diego and to meet Smitha and Carlee IRL (In real life). I then came home to recover (and work) while the husband went to Miami for a 24 hour car race and I chilled out. Phew. Then, of course, I would apologize for not letting you get a word in edgewise and I would ask how your holidays were. [How were they?? You can tell me in the comments ;)]

And I would probably show you some pictures, too!

If we were having coffee together… I would probably tell you that once again I have bitten off more than I can chew by signing up for a ton of races/trips, promising reviews, etc. on the blog and for work and that I am a bit nervous about it. If you know me, you would probably assure me that some how, it will all work out as it usually does. Right?? Let’s hope “you” are right!

If we were having coffee together… I would ask if you made any New Year’s resolutions. I didn’t really but I do want to sit less during the work day and am planning to start using a pedometer or tracker again to see how many steps I take on non-running days. I also want to continue to appreciate the small things in life as I think this makes for a happier life.

Your turn! What would you tell me on our coffee date? Did you enter my giveaway?
