Bestowed: August & September Unboxing and Mash Up Giveaway

bestowed fiYou all know I love my healthy food subscription boxes. The nice folks at Bestowed offered review boxes to some blogger ambassadors in August and September. Of course I said “yes,” but this is one that I subscribe to, as well. That is great news for you. Why? One lucky winner will win a “mash up” box of goodies from the August and September boxes – almost everything!

Bestowed is a curated, healthy food subscription box that delivers delicious snacks, beverages and more to try for just $19/month + FREE shipping. All products have been carefully selected by celebrity nutritionist and author Heather Bauer and every box is loaded with insider tips, recipes, and more! You can now buy products you like directly from Bestowed’s online shop, too.

Each month, Bestowed sends a healthy mix of snacks, beverages and foods to your home or office. Boxes can be ordered month to month or on an annual plan and gift boxes are also available. August had a “Back to School” theme and September has a “Snacks that Don’t Break the Nutritional Bank” theme.

The box included a two of my faves:

  • Ocean’s Halo Seaweed Chips – the chips in the box I opened were Hot and Spicy. These are nice firm chips with a unique taste. I love the texture of these chips. They are like crackers and have the texture of Wheat Thins (which I don’t eat since going mostly gluten free so that makes me happy!) The Hot and Spicy is well seasoned and not too, too spicy.
  • Good Greens Bar – these bars are made of 100% fruits and vegetables. They are gluten free, raw and vegan. This is an awesome snack to keep in your purse or for when you get stuck in a meeting!

It also included:

  • Funley’s Super Crackers – these went to “my” girl, Reese (She’s 3! Her mom told me she asks for treats from the “Erica bag.”)
  • Orgain Healthy Kid’s Shake – ditto
  • Plum Organics Mashups Squeeze Pack – ditto
  • Peeled Apple Clusters – ditto. I have tried these. They are not really substantive enough for me for a snack. Maybe mixed with some nuts…kids love them.
  • Suja Juice (coupon – up to $9.05) – these juices are certified Organic, Non-GMO & Kosher and are processed using cold pressure to kill harmful bacteria while preserving nutrition and taste. They have “a juice for every lifestyle.” I need to grab this the next time I am in Whole Foods! I would like to try Green Supreme.
  • Maia Yogurt (coupon) – this is a less sweet greek yogurt. I will share this with a friend, too. I don’t eat dairy. Looks good though.
  • Mrs. Meyer’s Dish Soap – love this stuff. Not sure why it is in my Bestowed Back to School box, though!
  • Unburned Sunburn Relief – I try to avoid getting sunburned, but I will try this if I do!

I know this was the “Back to School” box, but as a regular subscriber I was not too keen on all of the “kid stuff.” The juice, yogurt, Ocean’s Halo Chips and Good Greens bars made it worth the cost of the box, but it was not my favorite from Bestowed.

September included two of my faves, too:

  • Justin’s Almond Butter – these squeeze packs are amazing and I love Justin’s. The taste and consistency are perfect!
  • Super Eats Kale and Chia Chips – I love these chips. They are delicious and a great, healthier alternative for traditional tortilla chips. I am a huge fan! I met the Super Eats guys at the Snack Show. They are pretty awesome.

It also included:

  • Natural Calm – “is the solution to both restoring a healthy magnesium level and balancing your calcium intake” – I like this drink and can use the magnesium for sleep and muscle cramps.
  • Qure Water – “a perfect combination of pristine purified water infused with Mother Nature’s ALKALINE minerals. As a result, QURE has a distinguished smooth silky taste with a powerful and stable alkaline pH of 9.5+. QURE is the non-acidic beverage choice designed to complement an alkaline diet.” – Tasted like water. Truth. [In fairness, I don’t know anything about alkaline in diets… do you?]
  • Balance bare Sea Salt Caramel Nut Bar – I look forward to trying this bar after my 21 days clean eating reset. It looks delish.
  • Bitsy’s Brainfood Smart Cookies – these are headed for my gal, Reese, too.
  • $40 Hello Fresh Gift Card. Hello Fresh is a great meal kit service for making fresh meals for 2 – 4 people.

The $40 gift card, the almond butter, chips, Natural Calm supplement and Balance bare bar make this box a good value for me. I am not a huge fan of them shipping heavy drinks, but that is just me!

Since I received both of these boxes twice, I am taking out the drinks and will send one lucky winner a special one of a kind August/September “Mash Up” box. This includes all of the items and coupons listed above minus the Orgain Kid’s Shake and the Qure Water. Pretty awesome – no? So please enter with the Rafflecopter below. This giveaway runs through September 25th. A winner will be selected and notified on September 26th. The winner must be a US resident, 18 or over and the offer is void where prohibited. This giveaway was not sponsored by Bestowed. I am a subscriber and I will send the free product I received to the selected winner. All opinions are my own.
