I saw a post like this on Cotter Crunch and I am stealing this great idea! As a blogger who loves trying new things and sharing the best, I get LOTS of awesome things to try. I am going to do mini-reviews, and previews, here and tell you about opportunities for you to try these awesome things, too!

Love a company with a cool mission! Check out Flow397!

Flow397 – I saw Flow397 on Twitter and went to check out their website. This is a small, new company committed to developing “a business that tries to be both the best in the world and the best for the world.” Started by two friends in 2011, the friends have developed an awesome clothing line for men, women and children who share their love of the outdoors. I sent them some fan mail and they sent me an awesome T-shirt to check out.

Flow397 makes stylish, comfortable clothes for folks who love to be active. It’s about “looking good on the outside and feeling good on the inside.” In addition to supporting the national parks with every purchase, they also care about the planet and use as many naturally occurring materials as possible.

Flow397 donates $3.97 for each item sold to charities that support our National Parks. Many of their designs have animals from the parks or their logo which has an awesome story, too. This week they are launching a new design: the moose.  Check their Facebook page for contests this week in the “Week of the Moose”.  Plus, enter promo code live10 at checkout for 10% off the entire store thru end of March.

I will be hosting a giveaway for a Flow397 item soon. Take a look at their website and nominate your favorite in the comments! And, don’t forget to like them on Facebook or to follow on Twitter for some great contests and giveaways in the mean time!

atayne logoAtayneAnd speaking of clothing companies that are dedicated to being good for the environment, I also tried some 100% recycled polyester running tops from Atayne!

Atayne makes “progressive outdoor and active apparel that drives positive environmental and social change.” Their key tenets are: Environmental Sensitivity, Human Safety and Local Economic Support. All of their products (not just a few) are made from 100% recycled polyester, All the materials they use are certified to be free of harmful chemicals and all are made in the USA from start to finish.

The idea for Atayne was born from the founder’s run in with a performance shirt that bled red all over him, and his socks and shoes, on a hot day in 2007. This experience helped to launch a company dedicated to inspiring positive social and environmental change through the power of active lifestyles. If you love to run, bike, hike, or just be active, Atayne provides the perfect apparel to “play hard, tread lightly, and express a positive point of view.”

Atayne sent me two items from their new “cause” collection. I chose the Run Hard, Tread Lightly short sleeve and Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. Run. long sleeve. They are both flattering and comfortable. I got a bunch of compliments at the gym on the short sleeve. I wore the long sleeve twice to run without washing and it did not smell, too! It fits well and lightweight, too. These shirts are awesome!

Next week, I will post a full review, tell you more and plan to give away one Boston Strong short sleeve and one short sleeve from the cause collection! Also, they will offer a $10 for all who like them on Facebook! Until then, you can stay up to date by checking out their newsletter, following on Twitter or liking them on Facebook!

I owe a big apology to All-Pro Science for dragging my feet on this review!  They sent me a generous set of samples of their all natural, Complete Veggie Protein powder made with hemp protein, pea protein, brown rice protein and flaxseed powder. My pumpkin smoothie looked and tasted delicious!
My pumpkin smoothie looked and tasted delicious!

I have been slowing in trying it because, I don’t often make smoothies. I did make some pumpkin smoothies with the French Vanilla flavor and they were delish. I then added some to the remaining pumpkin with some delicious granola and loved that. I added some to my oatmeal, too. The flavor was good – not too sweet like some protein powder can be. It is also not chalky and the smoothies were in fact smooth!

All-Pro Science is the creator of the first, and one of the only, completely natural lines of sports supplements. They  “paved the way for 100% all natural products in the supplement market.” From the professional athlete to the “weekend warrior”, APS is designed to support an all-natural, healthy, lifestyle.
