Friday Finds: Great Last Minute Gift Ideas + A Giveaway and More

Time is ticking on those holiday gifts! Following are a few suggestions that you can order last minute for your favorite runner or foodie. Or foodie runner?

If you follow this blog, you may know that I have a few subscription boxes that I love. What is a subscription box? It is a way to try new foods/energy products (or pet stuff, kid stuff, beauty products, lots of stuff… there are even some time of the month boxes!) It may be too late to receive the first box before Xmas, but you can buy a gift month or subscription and email it, print it out or make a card. Then, the recipient can enjoy the gift in the month(s) ahead!

I have written about a slew of these this year. I will recommend just a few favorites today. If the person you are buying for is into running, health food, beauty, knitting, DIY, whatever… do a search and see what you can find that will be a good fit.

The ones that I have been loving are: RunnerBox (comes regular or Gluten Free) for running stuff and Love with Food or Yumvelope for healthful, yet delicious food/beverages.

runner box

RunnerBox is a bimonthly subscription filled with products geared towards runners. (They also offer a TriBox for triathletes.) The box comes every other month which is nice so you don’t form a stockpile if you are not training for anything. It includes a variety of products from energy bars, gels, chews, protein shakes, and other accessories. You can gift one month or several – it is up to you.

Another great gift idea for the holidays is a RunnerBox and fitbook together in one terrific box!  Journaling your progress in the 12 week fitbook can help keep you on track.  The fitbook is a terrific tool to help you reach your running/fitness goals.  The fitbook is shipped in a festive box with a cozy RunnerBox buff and a few sample products.  This makes a nice holiday gift or a New Year kick start-motivation tool!

Staci from RunnerBox sent me the one time Gluten Free RunnerBox gift box ($20 + $7 shipping). It was filled with many Finds’ Faves and a few new items to me! It included:

I loved that most of the products were full sized. Some of these can only be found in a case (and I hate to buy a case without trying a product first!) I have tried about 3/4 of these products and they are all awesome. Trust me, your runner or triathlete would dig this gift box or subscription! They also have virtual gift cards in case you are not sure what to pick!

RunnerBox offered one lucky reader a one time box (GF or regular!) Use the Rafflecopter below to enter. One winner will be selected on 12/27 with Rafflecopter. Must be a US resident and over 18 years of age. Void where prohibited.

Please note: RunnerBox provided me a gift box at no charge. I was not compensated for this review. All opinions are my own.

Two other boxes that I love and have raved about:

LwF Yum

In August, I reviewed Yumvelope. Yumvelope delivers (at least) six full size, small batch, natural artisan products in a padded envelope each month for $21.  I gave Yumvelope a big thumbs up. And, Yumvelope gives a meal to a hungry person for every package purchased. A win win! Yumvelope is a great gift idea for a health-foodie in your life, too!

Like Yumvelope, Love with Food is another favorite of mine. Each month they deliver samples of natural or organic snacks to your door. They also offer coupons and discounts on the products. And for every box purchased, they donate a meal to feed a hungry child in the U.S. A total win-win in my opinion.  Here are the gift options for the single boxes and now they have double sized boxes so you don’t have to fight over who gets to try what! Also, through 1/1/2014, get $15 to soap.com or Little Black Bag with any order.

I would be delighted with any of these as gifts! What are your favorite subscription boxes/types? What last minute gifts would you like to receive?
