Friday Finds: Yumvelope and Great Deals!

Please follow my blog with Bloglovin

yumvelope logoSometimes I wonder how many subscription snack services one person can try. No worries, this is a rhetorical question. I liked a new one on Twitter and the magic of Twitter told me to check out Yumvelope. Yumvelope delivers (at least) six full size, small batch, natural artisan products in a padded envelope each month for $21. I contacted them and Sam sent me one to try and to review. Since I am doing an elimination diet, I was thinking I would have to give most of it away. To my surprise, there were several products I could try!

The Yumvelope comes with a post card describing each item with its website and retail value. July included:

  • Bearded Brothers Energy Bars (2 – $3/bar) – “…these awesome energy bars that are raw, vegan, gluten free and more.” These bars are from Austin Texas and I have been wanting to try them for AGES! Good news for all, I am expecting some more samples and a giveaway in the mail soon!
  • WOW Lemon Burst Cookie (2 – $2.46/cookie) – “Also gluten free, these cookies are made without wheat of any kind and taste better than the alternatives.” Unfortunately, these have eggs and milk so I gave one to Stacy to try and have one to give away if anyone wants to try it!
  • Crunchies Roasted Veggies ($4.99) – “A medley of freeze-dried roasted vegetables. A fantastic healthy, on the go snack”. I have not tried this version, but I know I like these!
  • Marshall’s Farm Honey Straws ($6/pack) “this sampler pack lets you try Marshall’s many different varieties of incredible honeys in one pack. Enjoy them alone for a no-guilt treat” and Honey Bear ($3.70)

Total Value: $25.61 – cost $21/per month (+$3 shipping for one month order or free for subscription) plus like another fave subscription box, Love with Food, Yumvelope gives a meal to a hungry person for every package purchased. A win win!

The verdict – YUM! Worth it! I think this is true especially if you live somewhere that does not have mega-Whole Foods and the like!
