GetGoing for Travel Deals, A Check-In & More

Are you flexible? Not in a yoga way, but in an “I need to get away, but I want to go so many places, I will let someone else choose” kind of way? If you answered yes, then GetGoing is a new website with your name on it! They can save you hundreds of dollars on airline tickets if you give dates and select options but let them book the reservations for you on your behalf.

GetGoingGetGoing has two options “Pick Two, Get One” and “FlightFinder”:

  • “Pick Two, Get One” is like Priceline with a twist. You tell it the region (e.g. Europe) and the dates. It shows you a number of itineraries. You pick two of the options and GetGoing decides on the itinerary and books it for you at a discount of on average 30% off.
  • “Flightfinder” is more like a traditional travel site, but the broader your selections (e.g., beaches versus Malibu, CA), the more low cost options you are offered. You then book your favorite option based on the recommendations. They say, “rest assured that nobody has better prices or better customer service. Guaranteed.”

Watch their video for more on how it works:

They also have a cool blog with travel ideas and money saving tips. And you get $50 credit if your friends join using your link!

Pretty cool, huh? Are you flexible enough for this? I want to try it! Let me know if you do and how it goes!

Here is what  they looked like when we got them in May:

You may remember that Pam took home the flowers and hung the hanging baskets and got the other flowers ready for planting. They looked great! As an aside, you may notice that the following pictures are extremely good. Yeah, Pam’s a professional photographer. She specializes in modern family and childrens photos with a fun, relaxed style. Check out Pam’s work and session information HERE.

I asked Pam how things were going with the plants. She said, “The flowers are doing great. They have a ton of new blooms. They’re very low-maintenance. I just water them every couple days, and they’ve been growing like crazy!” She sent some photos to show me:

Wow! These look terrific! Pam has a green thumb or Miracle Gro really works. Or both!

Pretty nice – huh? Way to go  Scotts Miracle Gro and Home Depot!
