PS. Used tip #1 and ran my best time in the half marathon since 2007! I had a great day and a lot of fun. I felt very strong and positive. When the going got tough, I thought about Alex and the Vitale family. Toward the end of my run, a woman in a purple, Alzheimer’s Association shirt passed me, and I thought of my friend (and “engine”) Marie Wickham’s mother. Marie is an awesome runner and is a metronome. I came up with a new acronym “HWMR” (How Would Marie Run). I kept the pace and smiled – as I knew Marie would do! I was proud to run for Alexandra’s Playground and to run strong, positive and inspired!
