I saw a tweet yesterday that is SO true for me from fitivity Chicago: fitivity tweet It then occured to me that I never checked out their app/website. So I did. Screen Shot 2013-02-18 at 8.53.51 PM
fitivity allows you to find, or organize, activities in your community for sports, fitness and recreation. You can join groups based on your interest and location. Whether you want to participate in a pick-up basketball game, find a running partner or play capture the flag – fitivity can help! You can also participate in challenges to try to improve your personal fitness level and get workouts from experts for free!

With fitivity, you can:
– Use the “discover feed” to find activities and groups in your area (Not too much happening yet in Chicago, but it seems easy to start a new group and maybe organize some runs!)
– Leverage free personal training expertise for sports and fitness activities. Levels from beginners to advanced. (It took me a minute to figure out how to get to the workouts and past the “locations”, but there are free workouts for a variety of sports and levels that look good!)
– View over 500 exercises/drills demonstrated using pictures or videos
– Share activities and workouts with your friends via Facebook, Email, Twitter, or contacts and challenge them to join you.

You can download fitivity for Apple iOS HERE (free). Coming soon on Google Play. Seems worth a try! I am glad that I stumbled on their tweet yesterday!
